Chapter 2212:

Luis parked the car and turned off the engine, stepping out with a quiet sense of satisfaction.
He looked over at Elva with a soft smile and said, “I spoke with my parents a few days ago. I thought you and the nannies might feel out of place here, so I had the staff from this side moved to my parents’ house. The new folks here all came from the Fowler residence.”
The nannies were thrilled but kept their excitement in check.
After a brief hesitation, they finally spoke up, trying to remain polite.
“You’re very thoughtful, Mr. Mendez.”
Luis laughed and said, “Alright everyone, let’s get out of the car!”
As he opened the door, he couldn’t help but give Elva’s hand a quick, reassuring squeeze before stepping out.
In the sunlight, he was still as upright and handsome as ever, but there was a new maturity about him.
The nannies held the child while he carried most of the luggage himself.
He worked out regularly, so carrying 20 kilos in one hand didn’t even make him break a sweat.
The nannies exchanged glances and whispered to Elva, “Mr. Mendez is not only considerate but also in great shape! Look at those arm muscles. He must work out a lot!”
Elva smiled a little.
If Luis had been this considerate all along, they wouldn’t have ended up in this situation.
He used to think her delicacy was charming when they were dating, but after they got married, he saw it as annoying.
Still, she was willing to find a way to live peacefully with him during the year to come.

She couldn’t deny that Luis was now more attentive to her and their child, and she couldn’t keep her distance forever.
Elva took Samuel from the nannies and headed upstairs.
The second-floor master bedroom was spacious, covering an impressive 80 square meters.
Luis had already set up a cozy nursery corner with soft decor and a selection of toys that would delight any child.
After setting down the luggage, Luis stepped into the room.
Elva stood by the nursery, quietly taking in the setup when Luis came up behind her and gently wrapped his arms around her, holding their child close.
Speaking softly, he asked, “What do you think? Let’s keep Sammy with us here for now. As he grows a little bit older, we can get a separate room for him. I want to take care of him at night myself without relying on the nannies… Plus, he’s such a well-behaved little one.”
Elva felt a wave of emotion sweep over her.
His considerate and tender gestures were exactly what she had once longed for, even if they had come a little later than expected.
Luis hugged the child with one arm and gently wrapped the other around Elva’s shoulder.
He didn’t say anything more, simply savoring the moment together.
He wasn’t sure if giving his all would win her heart back.
In the past, he would have weighed the pros and cons carefully before making the most logical decision.
