Elva confessed that she might not get any rest.

She looked up and said, “Tomorrow morning, I might not be able to return either. I’ll probably have to head straight to Czant for more scenes.”

Luis scowled.

“I’ll bring Sammy over to visit whenever I can.”

Elva did not refuse and gave a slight nod.

Luis gazed at her intently.

After a moment, he bent down and kissed her hair softly.

Then he patted her head.

During their time together, such tender moments had been rare.

Elva instinctively pulled back, but Luis easily caught the back of her neck and leaned in to kiss her lips.

Elva felt a bit nervous.

Her voice came out hoarse and shaky as she said, “I need to leave!”

Luis’ eyes were deep and thoughtful.

Eventually, he stood up and gently held her hand, his tone soft as he said, “Stay with him for now. I’ll pack your bags.”

Luis smiled and said in a light tone, “Starting to miss us already? Even if you do, you must go. I’ll bring Samuel over to see you soon, okay? Be careful when you’re out alone, and call me if you need anything… I’m here for you all the time.”

Elva responded quietly, “I can handle a lot on my own.”

“You’ve really grown up!”

Luis went into the cloakroom and took Elva’s luggage.

He then took a heavy sigh.

He rubbed his forehead and thought that he had missed her already.

He didn’t want her to leave!

Luis soon walked out of the cloakroom.

Elva cradled Samuel in her arms, showering the baby with kisses.

In a soft voice, she murmured, “Mummy will be away for a while. You must be a good boy for Daddy, alright?”
