Chapter 2231:

With no energy to concentrate on his script, he decided to take a nap after breakfast.
Meanwhile, Luis watched Samuel attentively, guiding him as he tried to eat independently. Despite his youth, Samuel performed admirably under his father’s instruction, a testament to the time he had invested in the little boy.
Resting on her pillow, Elva quietly observed the tender scene between father and son.
Unaware of her own tender expression, she watched them closely.
Feeling her gaze, Luis looked up and their eyes met.
He gently stroked Samuel’s head, encouraging him to stay that way, then walked over and sat on the edge of the bed.

Caressing Elva’s face, he asked softly, “Have you thought this through?”
Elva feigned ignorance. “Thought what through?”
With a playful smile, Luis leaned over and bit her nose.
“Our marriage, what else?”
“Well, maybe I need a little more time to think,” Elva replied, her voice tinged with sweetness.
Luis took another soft bite of his nose and then whispered, “Okay, I’ll go see Samuel. Take your time, no distractions.”
He turned and walked back to his son.
Watching him walk away, Elva felt her resolve soften.
Luis had been nothing short of wonderful these past few days.
However, as she had said earlier, marriage was more than just a surge of affection; it represented a long-term commitment, not a decision made on a whim.
They spent the entire day at the hotel.
That evening, Luis announced that they would be attending a meeting with Samuel.
Elva expressed reservations. “It’s strange to take our son on a date like this.”
As Luis buckled his seat belt, he glanced at her in the rearview mirror and casually replied, “I don’t see any problem with taking Samuel to a social event. Besides, you don’t really enjoy these gatherings, do you?”.
Elva turned away, speechless, and remained silent.
Luis watched her for a moment before starting the car.
The meeting was also attended by Hurst and his major sponsor, Felicia Blake, followed by Hurst’s agent, who was as haughty as he was.
