Chapter 2245:
🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙
This was Elva’s first encounter with that point of view.
She rebuked him, denouncing his audacity.
Luis took her hand and tucked it under his shirt, his voice passionate and intense. “This is the possessiveness of a man, Elva-kiss me!”
Elva firmly rejected him.
At that moment, Luis was overcome with desire. Despite the absence of intimacy, he craved her touch. He turned around and pressed her lightly before kissing her deeply.
“You’re annoying!” Elva protested weakly, pushing him away.
Luis kissed her persistently, like a fervent wolf, until finally his emotions subsided.
Leaning his head against her neck, he whispered softly:
“The thought of you with someone else…I just can’t bear the thought.”
Elva offered a weak smile in response.
Reading her expression, Luis understood. She still harbored feelings for him, but a reconciliation was not something she could easily accept. Elva had changed. She was not just the young woman he once knew: she was now a mother, Samuel’s mother.
He was in no hurry as he now had a year to get her back.
Their interaction was tender, a rare moment of nonchalance they had not experienced in a long time. Reflecting later, Luis commented, “Truly, children are the best form of birth control! If it weren’t for Samuel, we wouldn’t be just hugging and kissing right now.”
Elva blushed at his words.
Although he spoke in jest, she played along, feigning confusion and replied, “If it weren’t for Samuel, we would have separated a long time ago.”
Luis agreed nodding “Absolutely.”
He pulled her close and they reclined together. He had intended to reminisce about old times, but the thought soon soured.
Better to let it go. He thought.
They realized they shared no mutual friends, a stark reminder of the delicate threads that held their relationship together.
Exhausted, Elva yawned and said, “Luis, is this a mid-life crisis? You’re incredibly sentimental today!”
However, she leaned closer and murmured against his chest:
“Still, you have a charm that women find attractive.”

He returned her words with a tender look.
They spent the whole night talking. In the morning, overcome with exhaustion, Elva slept late.
Luis went to look for his parents, but discovered that they had unexpectedly taken Samuel back to Duefron earlier in the day, in order to give the couple some space alone.
