Chapter 2256:
🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙
“How about we discuss this later at the hotel?”
Luis’ flirtatious tone was so intense it bordered on overwhelming. Unable to contain herself, Melissa interjected, “I bet you couldn’t resist him at all, could you?”
Elva replied frankly, “I used to, but not anymore.”
Melissa shot Luis a meaningful look.
She remembered what her husband, Marcus, had confided to her, “If Luis wasn’t so charming, he never would have charmed my sister.”
Melissa had to admit it was true.
Luis possessed an elegance and grace reminiscent of Marcus.
He was the epitome of the perfect gentleman, but his temper matched Marcus’ in intensity!
Melissa considered her own spouse and then observed Luis, who regarded Elva not only with fleeting affection, but perhaps with genuine love.
They hardly looked like a couple who had been together for years!
Perhaps a little fun banter was the secret to keeping a marriage lively.
Originally, I had made plans to have dinner with Elva after we broke up, but a phone call changed everything. Her daughter sounded ill and needed her mother. Meanwhile, Marcus had gone so far as to get her a private jet.
Suddenly, Elva blurted out, “Marcus isn’t trying to get you into bed, is he?”
Melissa felt her cheeks heat up at the suggestion.
Luis grabbed Elva firmly by the back of the neck, directing her words to Amelia. “Could you take Elva back to the hotel when I’m done here? I’ll take Melissa to the airport.”
Even though they had a driver, Luis felt it was his duty to offer such gestures as head of the household.
Amelia nodded enthusiastically. “Of course, leave it to me!”
Luis and Melissa departed first. As they left, they noticed Hurst lingering by the door, his expression unreadable. Luis paused and whispered, “Let’s leave this matter alone. I won’t bother you again, but keep in mind what you should avoid in the future.”
Hurst’s nut visibly contracted as he swallowed, and then he left quietly, saying no more words.
Luis watched him go, his thoughts momentarily wandering.
Melissa asked him about his contemplations, to which he responded with a soft smack. It’s nothing important .
