Chapter 1044:
🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙
“The child you carry is special — chosen by me,” the Goddess explained, her form shimmering like moonlight on water. “Not only because she is the offspring of a powerful Alpha, but because this soul will unite worlds — human and wolf — in ways that have not been seen in generations.”
The Goddess extended her hand and rested her palm gently against Cecilia’s abdomen. Warmth spread through every part of her.
“The witch seeks a power she cannot comprehend. Your mate fights with everything he has, but not even an Alpha as powerful as Sebastian can stand alone against centuries of accumulated dark magic.”
“What can I do?” Cecilia asked, desperation in her voice.
“You already have everything you need,” the Goddess replied, her tone sharpening into something fiercer, more commanding. “Do you think I chose you by accident? Human women who conquer the heart of an Alpha like Sebastian are rare. But human women capable of standing at his side — those are rarer still.”

The Goddess’s eyes burned with silver fire. “Your strength does not come from magic alone, or from your lineage. It comes from your absolute refusal to be anyone’s victim. Use that now.”
“But humans don’t have a mental bond,” Cecilia protested.
The Goddess’s laughter was like silver bells woven through the sound of a wolf’s howl. “Child, you have been communicating with your mate through the bond for months without realizing it. How do you think you always know when he is in danger? How do you think he finds you so easily?”
Her voice grew stronger, more urgent. “The connection goes beyond blood or species. You now carry my blessing — and the will to protect what is yours.”
The Moon Goddess began to dissolve, her form breaking apart into particles of silver light.
“Remember: the most powerful magic is not ritual or sacrifice. It is the fury of a mother protecting her child and a mate defending her family. Channel that rage, Cecilia. Make them afraid of you.”
“Wait!” Cecilia called out. “I don’t know how—”
“You don’t need instructions,” the Goddess’s voice echoed as she disappeared. “You need permission. I am giving it to you. Now wake up — and show them what happens when they threaten a Luna.”
And then the Goddess was gone, and consciousness returned to Cecilia like a wave crashing ashore.
Cecilia gasped, her eyes snapping open in the middle of the chaos.
Alpha Sebastian, still in his enormous wolf form despite his wounds, stood between her and Belinda.
“Little human,” Belinda taunted from behind Xenia’s stolen face, “dying won’t save your child from me!”
But Cecilia was no longer the frightened girl who had stumbled into the world of werewolves for the first time.
This witch had chosen the wrong woman to threaten.
Something felt different inside her. The frantic kicks had stilled, replaced by a strange calm. Following her instinct, she closed her eyes and turned her focus inward.
Little one, can you hear me?
The response was not words — it was a feeling: warmth, trust. And something more. Power. Pure, untouched power.
Alpha Sebastian’s golden eyes found hers across the tilting deck, and the mate bond vibrated suddenly with a force neither of them had felt before.
