Chapter 1046:
🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙
A blinding explosion of light flooded the ballroom.
When it faded, a cloud of black smoke drifted where Belinda’s spiritual form had been — dissolving rapidly into nothing. Her final scream of fury died into silence.
Xenia collapsed onto the soaked floor, free at last — but unconscious.
Around her, the yacht stabilized. The water stopped rising.
The supernatural darkness dissolved, revealing the destruction — and, beyond the shattered windows, the first pale light of dawn breaking on the horizon.
Alpha Sebastian limped to Cecilia’s side, shifting back to his human form despite his wounds. Rivulets of blood ran down his bare torso, marked with numerous cuts — but his eyes held nothing but pride and wonder.
“Are you all right?” he asked, his voice rough with exertion.
Cecilia smiled, feeling more powerful than she ever had in her life.
“Better than all right,” she answered. “I’m exactly where I’m meant to be.”

Across the ruined ballroom, survivors began emerging. Emergency lights flickered on as the ship’s systems came back online. Through the broken windows, Coast Guard vessels were visible approaching, sirens wailing.
On deck, they watched as Maggie — handcuffed and flanked by two werewolf guards — was led toward a police launch. Even from a distance, her protests carried clearly.
“I was protecting my daughter! You don’t understand what I’ve been through!”
Xenia watched in silence as they took her away, tears sliding down her young face.
“What happens to her now?” Cecilia asked quietly, turning to Cassian.
“The Locke family will handle it,” he replied. “In the end, she’s one of ours. We protect our own — even from themselves.”
Though the paramedics insisted on taking Sebastian to the hospital, Cecilia refused to leave his side.
In the ambulance, as they tended to his wounds, he finally allowed his body to relax.
“It’s over,” she whispered, squeezing his hand.
Sebastian brought her fingers to his lips.
“No,” he said gently. “It’s just beginning.”
“Perfect,” Cecilia said — smiling not with relief, but with anticipation. “I’m ready for whatever comes next.”
On the small screen mounted in the ambulance, a breaking news alert appeared:
SUPERNATURAL CULT DISMANTLED: Multi-state operation brings down dangerous organization targeting lycanthrope communities.
Third-Person Narrative
The full moon hung brilliant in the night sky, pouring silver light across the landscape as though the Moon Goddess herself were keeping watch. In many ways, she was.
Three days had passed since the dramatic confrontation aboard the yacht. At last, the supernatural world had found peace in the wake of the Moonveil Ascendancy’s total collapse.
Justice had been swift.
The cult’s inner circle received life sentences in specialized prisons for supernatural beings. Mid-ranking members faced decades behind bars, while those who had been coerced or manipulated received lighter sentences — mandatory therapy and community service. Most importantly, the cult’s twisted philosophy of “power makes right” had been publicly discredited by leading scholars of the supernatural world.
For the first time, humans and lycanthropes worked together as equals throughout the trials.
