Chapter 451:
🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙
At that moment, Ruby smiled and looked as if she didn’t care much.
“Never mind, didn’t you bring me here to see a doctor, why are you so worried?”
Seeing that, Levi couldn’t help but feel helpless, he rubbed her hair, his hand slid back down to her cheek. He squeezed it lightly.
“Nothing. You don’t have to worry about anything, I’m here and I’ll protect you.”
These words were solemn enough, when Ruby heard them, her heart warmed and she couldn’t help but smile.
“Of course I’m not worried, Levi Finn, you are so powerful that you can naturally protect me well, I feel very relieved.”
Hearing her pronounce his full name, Levi’s eyebrows rose slightly, “Why don’t you call me Levi anymore, instead of calling me in that rusty way?”
Ruby choked and rolled her eyes slightly as she cooed, seemingly unintentionally, “Lo out of habit.”
Levi’s eyes flickered slightly and his mood couldn’t help but improve.
…
As soon as Jason returned to his office, he contacted Benjamin.
“Chief, they’ve been received and placed in the penthouse suite, what’s next?”.
Soon, Benjamin’s voice came from the other end.
“What else can we do? Treat her immediately, of course, She must be made to remember that she knows the healing arts!”

Jason indicated his understanding and, after some deliberation, asked again.
“So boss, when do you plan to show up?”
Benjamin on the other end of the phone narrowed his eyes slightly, and a fine aura glowed under his amber eyes before replying after a moment, “We’ll see how it goes, first you can find a way to heal her, all the recent work we have on our hands can be put aside, it’s all based on Ruby’s condition.”
“Understood.” Immediately Jason took the lead and did as he was told.
…
Since today was the first day of arrival and it would soon be dark, Jason did not schedule an exam for Ruby today, but instead scheduled it for tomorrow.
That day, other than his appearance to greet them, he did not show up any more, and they were all taken care of by the female lab employees.
In the evening, they knocked on the door and brought the food.
Looking at the rich dinner on the table, Ruby sniffed and felt quite satisfied.
“Why do I get the feeling that we’re under house arrest, that we can’t even leave here to have our food brought to us?”
She cooed nonchalantly as she grabbed the plate.
Levi smiled, unconcerned with himself, and served her the meal first, responding in a warm voice.
“Serving us a meal should be a form of care, as for house arrest…I don’t think so. Jason only said we couldn’t leave the Institute, but he didn’t say we couldn’t move around here, so, if you want, we can leave after we eat.”
Hearing that, Ruby’s eyes lit up, “Really, we can move?”
Levi raised his eyebrows, “We’ll know when we ask, by all rights it should be possible, there’s no way they’ll let us stay in the room.”
As he spoke, his cell phone rang.
Looking at the caller ID, her eyes sank and she let it eat first, getting up to answer the phone on the balcony.
The call was from Josie, Levi had instructed her to follow up with him later, before she left, and now she should have arrived.
Sure enough, as soon as he answered the call, Josie’s voice was heard, in a very concerned tone, “Mr. Levi, how are you and Miss Ruby?”
Levi looked out into the night, his face choking, he said lightly, “Nothing is wrong at the moment, where are they now?”
“We have reached the outside of the institute, but we have not approached. The area is heavily guarded, even around the institute there are so many guards that we can’t notice unless we look closely. Luckily we have guard beforehand, so we don’t advance, or there will be a problem when we are spotted.”
Levi said, “Good job, don’t get close yet, stay close and observe the situation.”
“Okay.” Josie replied, and after a brief interval, she couldn’t help but worry, “How is Miss Ruby’s health now, has she regained her memory?”
Levi’s thin lips pursed, “No, we’re going to do a sophisticated full body check tomorrow, let’s see if there’s any progress then.”
Hearing this, Josie was disappointed but said nothing, just prayed silently in her heart that her mistress was safe and sound.
After hanging up the phone, Levi returned to the living room and saw Ruby happily eating.
When she saw him sit down, she blinked suspiciously and asked, “Who’s calling like you have to come out to answer it?”
The tail of Levi’s eyes rose slightly and took on a more mocking tone,
“What, is this an attempt to control me?”.
Ruby choked for a moment and brushed the corners of her lips, “I was just casually asking.”
Levi smiled without hiding it, “It’s Josie.”
At that, Ruby was taken aback, “Josie? Why did she call you Josie and not me?”
Levi: “Who knows? I guess right now she thinks I’m more trustworthy than you.”
Ruby: “… What did she say to you?”
“Nothing, just that he’s already led someone this way and that he’s in the vicinity now.”
This didn’t surprise Ruby, after all, in an unfamiliar place, there must be someone watching in the shadows.
“Well…” At this point, Ruby nodded her head and asked no more questions.
After dinner, the two went downstairs together, only to learn that Jason had already left.
John, who was the caretaker of the two, said, “Mr. Finn, Mrs. Finn, there is no problem with the two of you walking around the Institute if you wish, and I can even show you around, but the north part of the Institute is an important place. You can’t just walk in, just like that, I’m sorry.”
At these words, Ruby’s eyes flickered slightly, a hint of thought creeping into the back of her eyes.
Levi’s face didn’t move, he nodded, “I know, I won’t bother you to show us around, we’ll walk alone.”
John nodded and left.
Only Ruby and Levi were left.
The two left the Institute and walked aimlessly around the Institute’s outer courtyard.
Around the outside of the high-tech building was an open space with a large distance between it and the fence.
Ruby looked around the fence seemingly unintentionally. She noticed that it was very strong and tall, with guards standing at regular intervals under the fence.
Levi noticed it too, and coldness shone under his eyes.
“Security has always been chaotic in Y-Country. This institute isn’t in the center of town, but it’s not particularly isolated either. To occupy such a large piece of land to open this institute, it seems Jason has a lot of tricks up his sleeve.”
