Chapter 210:
🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙
“Thanks, brother. Did you tell the rest of the guys the plan?” I ask.
“Yeah, Elijah filled them in when they woke up. They’re up to speed,” he replies.
“Okay, that’s good,” I say, taking a few deep breaths as the plane touches down on the tarmac. This is it. Here goes nothing.
Alpha Leo’s POV
The plane lands, and we all unfasten our seatbelts and gather our bags. Stefan gets out of the cockpit and opens the plane’s door. Everyone files out, but I stay behind to talk to Stefan.
“Stefan, I need you to fuel up the plane while we’re gone. I don’t know when we’ll leave, but when we do, it’s going to be at short notice, and we’ll need to leave quickly, so I need you to be ready,” I tell him.
“Of course, Mr. Knight. I’ll be ready,” he responds.
“Thank you, Stefan,” I say, then leave the plane and take the steps down to the tarmac, where the other guys have already gotten into the SUV I arranged for us.
I get into the back seat with Vincent and Freya. Zeo is driving, and Elijah is in the passenger seat. Zeo’s driving because he’s the only one who knows how to drive European-style. I still find it weird that the steering wheel is on the right side instead of the left.
“Zeo, were you able to find a hotel for us to stay?” I ask.
“Yeah, and I called while you were talking to Stefan. Got us the penthouse suite. It has its own private elevator and its own floor, so we won’t be disturbed. It also has enough rooms for all of us,” he tells me.
“Elijah, what about you? Have you been able to get a signal on Lena?” I ask him.
“No, I haven’t. The app is still buffering. The signal here isn’t great, but as we get into the city, it should be better,” he replies, but I can hear a hint of worry in his voice.
“Alright then, let’s go,” I say to Zeo, and he starts the car, driving us out of the airstrip.
As we make our way to the hotel, I can’t help but admire the scenery. Scotland really is a beautiful place. When I get Lena back, I’m going to bring her here with the kids. Her memory of this place shouldn’t be tainted. I remember how she always talked about wanting to visit here. She’s always been obsessed with medieval architecture and wanted to see the ones in Scotland. Now, her first time here is because she was kidnapped. I wonder if she even realizes she’s in Scotland.
We get to the hotel and hand the car keys to the valet, who helps us park. We carry our own bags, refusing the concierge’s help—they don’t need to know we’re carrying ammunition.

While Zeo checks us in, we wait in the lounge. I glance over at Elijah, who’s frowning at his tablet.
I walk over to him. “What’s the problem?” I ask.
“I can’t find her. I can’t find Lena,” he tells me. I’m so fucking tired of hearing that sentence.
“The fuck do you mean you can’t find her?” I raise my voice, the frustration in my tone drawing attention to us.
Zeo walks over with the key card to the penthouse. “Hey, what’s going on? What’s the problem?” he asks me.
“Elijah says he can’t find Lena,” I tell him.
Immediately, Zeo’s face takes on a worried look, but he quickly masks it. “Okay, this isn’t the place to talk about it. Let’s get to the room, then we can figure it out,” he says.
“Okay,” I reply, and then we all head to the private elevator that leads to the penthouse. We file into the elevator, the doors close, and Zeo scans the key card. The elevator starts moving, taking us up to the penthouse.
A minute later, the elevator doors open right into the penthouse living room. We all file out, dumping our bags on the floor. We head straight to the dining room and take our seats.
I take a few deep breaths to center myself, trying not to snap at Elijah. He’s not the one I’m angry at; I’m just pissed at the whole situation, and at fucking Lex.
