Chapter 533:.
🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙
Before I could take a step, Luther stopped me.
When I turned around to look at him, he asked, “Do you have a medical background?”
“I used to work as a nurse at Virtue Hospital. I know how to treat basic trauma and I can also give IV injections,” I replied calmly.
Luther stared at me for a moment without saying anything. After a while, he finally said, “Okay, come over here and do your job. I can take the pain.”
Although he finally agreed to let me treat him, I could sense a thinly veiled threat in his tone. The way he played with his gun accentuated the threat. However, I ignored him and approached him calmly. Then, I set down the first aid kit, ready to do my job.
Meanwhile, Ady brought out the food I had brought and proceeded to distribute it to him. Luther’s men, however, were very hesitant, not daring to eat.
It was not until they saw Ady giving bread to the woman and child and watched them eat that the men also began to eat it. These men ate voraciously, as if they had not eaten in a long time.
As for me, I concentrated on dressing Luther’s wound. He had been shot in the chest. Fortunately for him, the bullet had been removed. However, he had lost so much blood that he was now very weak.
The inflammation of the wound caused him to develop a very high fever. It did not take a medical expert to understand that he was in a very delicate condition. He himself had realized that he urgently needed proper care and had therefore demanded that the police send a female doctor there.
I took out the items I would need, including the syringe, medicine and gloves. As I did so, Luther stared at me without saying a word. It was as if he was thinking about something.
When everything was ready, I took his arm to give him the injection. At that moment, he suddenly raised the barrel of his gun and pointed it at my forehead.
My body stiffened against the cold barrel of the gun. I slowly looked up and stared at the man in front of me. Then I met Luther’s piercing gaze.
Frankly, I wasn’t afraid at all. But I had to pretend I was scared in this terrible situation; otherwise, he would suspect me.
“Mr. Scott, what’s wrong?” I asked Luther, pretending to be nervous.
He glanced at the bag of medicine in his hand and said coldly, “You try it first, or let that boy try it.” He was certainly a very cautious man.

When the woman heard what Luther said, she quickly hugged her son very tightly. Mother and son now looked completely terrified.
The boy was so frightened that he began to cry again. Undeterred, I took some of the composition with the syringe and injected it directly into my arm.
Everyone looked at me in amazement as I slowly pushed the liquid through my veins. Once the syringe was empty, I calmly pulled the needle out of my arm. Then I looked Luther in the eye.
“Are you calm now?” Luther looked at me with a puzzled expression.
In fact, I suspected that he was a person who never trusted people. So I expected him to ask me to try the injection first.
After a while, he finally extended his arm. I took his hand and checked to see if he had any blood vessels on the back of his hand. When I found a good one, I jabbed the syringe needle directly into it.
One of his men found a pitchfork. He dug a small hole in the ground next to Luther and inserted the pitchfork into it. Then we hung the medicine bag in it. Luther’s men were also slightly wounded.
Seeing that I had successfully healed Luther’s wound, they did not hesitate to let me heal their wounds as well.
Once I was finished, I picked up the first aid kit.
“Mr. Scott, we have brought you what you wanted and treated your wound, can we come down the mountain now?” I asked calmly.
As soon as I said it, a man sitting next to Luther burst out laughing, as if he had heard a great joke. He took a bite of the bread Ady gave him and said as he chewed, “Are you naïve or stupid? Do you really expect us to let you go?”
Luther didn’t even bother to respond. He just looked at the man and said, “Go tell the police to get a car ready for us. If they don’t do as we said, kill all the hostages.”
The man nodded and got up immediately. He walked down the mountain accompanied by another man.
