Chapter 190:
🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙
Kelly’s POV
I was walking back and forth in front of the emergency rooms. Mason and Emily were inside, and the doctors were operating on them. It was said that Mason had still managed to get Emily out of the car, even though his head was bleeding badly, before he lost consciousness. I didn’t know what actually happened. Some witnesses said they were fighting inside the car, while others claimed that a car from another lane overtook them and almost crashed into Emily’s car, causing chaos on the road.
Whatever really happened, I didn’t care anymore. All I could think about was their safety.
“KELLY!”
Diane Foster came charging toward me and slapped me across the cheek. She was crying so hard, and was about to slap me again when Pierce stepped in front of me, stopping Diane’s hand.
“Don’t you dare hurt my wife again, or I’ll drag you out of here.”
Diane laughed sarcastically before turning her sharp eyes on me.
“Look what you’ve done to my son, Kelly!”

“This isn’t Kelly’s fault. It was an accident!” Pierce intervened.
Diane slapped Pierce across the face.
“I don’t care!” she yelled. “This shouldn’t have happened to my family if your gold-digger wife didn’t show up and steal everything we had! My family is falling apart now. My son is in danger, and my older son is missing! This is all your fault, Kelly!”
Connor Foster came into the room, looking enraged. He was about to attack me too when Pierce stepped in the way.
“This is your fault, Kelly!” Connor shouted, angrily pointing a finger at me.
I don’t know why they were blaming me when clearly, I had nothing to do with the accident. And if their family was falling apart, it wasn’t my fault. They did this to themselves, and I shouldn’t be blamed for it.
“You made my sons like this! They’re turning their backs on me because of yo—”
“It’s because of you and your evilness!” I cut him off angrily. I didn’t care if people were watching, or if I made them angrier.
Connor Foster’s neck turned bright red with rage. “What did you say? Huh? Say it again, you bitch!”
“STOP BLAMING MY WIFE!” Pierce shouted, pushing Connor Foster back. His angry eyes turned toward my husband before he threw a strong punch at Connor’s face.
“Pierce!” I screamed, but Pierce immediately retaliated, landing a solid punch on Connor.
The two of them started fighting. Diane and I continued shouting, and even the security tried to intervene.
“GET THEM OUT OF HERE!” Connor shouted at the security, but Pierce just glared at them sharply.
“Yes.”
“S-Sir, please come with us.”
Connor laughed sarcastically. “Didn’t you hear what I said?”
“I’m sorry, sir. Mr. Anderson is a major shareholder of this hospital.”
I arrogantly lifted my chin at the security guard’s words. Connor looked even angrier than before. He pointed at the emergency room. “My son is inside that f**king emergency room, and you want me to leave?”
Pierce held my hand and positioned himself in front of me. His jaw was clenched, and his eyes were sharp as he stared at Connor Foster.
“I’m not leaving! Do you want me to sue all of you? Huh?” Connor yelled.
“Kelly, you b***h!” Diane cursed and was about to attack me again when a loud voice echoed down the entire hallway of the hospital.
“MOM, STOP IT!”
We all fell silent as we turned to see the man walking toward us. He was walking slowly, likely because of his wound. Diane looked shocked upon seeing her other son, while Connor froze, staring at Matt.
Matt stood beside Pierce, blocking me from his parents.
“Did you come here just to cause a scene? Or did you come here for Mason?” Matt asked, his voice steady.
I stared at Matt’s back. Why did he come here? He should be resting.
“M-Matt, my baby! What happened to you? Tell Mommy—”
“Go home, Mom, Dad. I’ll take care of my brother.”
“You’re not doing this to your parents!” Connor spat angrily.
Matt shook his head. “You’re just making this worse, Dad. Leave while I still can find a reason not to drag you out of here myself.”
“You ungrateful bastard!”
“Son! Don’t speak like that to your father! Show some respect!”
Matt shook his head and laughed sarcastically. “I lost my respect for him the moment I discovered his true colors.”
“MATT!” Diane screamed, her eyes wide. “How did you become like this? You weren’t like this before you met Kelly—”
“Oh, please! Mom! Don’t blame someone else. Kelly didn’t do anything.”
“She did! She ruined us!”
I gritted my teeth. Diane tried to grab my hair, but Pierce was quick to pull me away, wrapping his arms around me, protecting me.
I was worried about my baby getting hurt, so I tried to hold myself back.
“Family of the male patient, please?” The doctor suddenly came out of the emergency room.
The argument stopped momentarily as we turned to face him.
“H-He’s my son. How is he, doctor?”
“The operation was successful. However, we need to observe him closely, as there’s a possibility he may slip into a coma. His head injury was severe, so we need to pray hard for his safety.”
My lips parted as my eyes automatically fell on Matt. He looked weakened, pressing his palms against the wall to support his weight.
I wanted to comfort him, but I didn’t know how. The doctor in charge of Emily’s case hadn’t come out yet, and I was praying desperately for her recovery. She didn’t deserve this. She deserved happiness. No more suffering, no more pain. No more. Please…
