Chapter 1116:
Andrew paused before continuing, the words easier to say now that he had started. “My feelings for her haven’t changed. In fact, as we spend more time together, I find myself loving her even more. But when we share meals, go jogging, or relax together… it all just feels different.”
His tone grew heavier, and he turned to Malachi. “Do you know why?”
Malachi took a moment to reflect and understood the situation soon. It was simple: Andrew hadn’t adjusted to the fact that the passion had faded.
Malachi was surprised. He hadn’t expected Andrew, so caught up in love, to go through such a phase with Madisyn.
Their passionate romance had lasted for years, and Malachi had always thought a lull like this would never come for Andrew.
Andrew glanced at Malachi, and Malachi quickly responded, “Mr. Klein, do you know what stages couples typically go through in a relationship?”
“What stages?” Andrew asked, genuinely unsure.
Malachi cleared his throat and explained. “Generally, couples go through a getting-to-know-each-other phase, followed by a flirtation stage, then the passionate period once they commit, and finally, a lull. I won’t delve into the earlier stages you and Miss Johns have gone through, but based on what you’ve described, it seems you two have reached the lull.”
Malachi noticed that Andrew, normally so confident, now looked thoughtful. He quickly added, “Don’t underestimate this lull. No matter how amazing the earlier stages were, once you enter this lull, there are two possible outcomes: either the relationship stays in that phase, or it ends.”
Andrew frowned, clearly troubled. “Is there no third option?” Neither of those options appealed to him.
Malachi said with a knowing smile, “Of course, there is. You can always reignite the passionate phase, but that’s a bit more challenging.”

Andrew fixed his gaze on Malachi, silently contemplating the advice.
“Malachi,” Andrew said, “I’ll double your salary this month. Just explain it carefully.”
Double salary?! Malachi’s face lit up with the promise of a bonus, transforming him into an instant love guru.
“The reason relationships often hit a lull,” Malachi continued, “is that couples grow so familiar with each other that the initial excitement fades. Comfort sets in, and soon enough, flaws begin to surface.
To rekindle that spark, both you and Miss Johns need to make a conscious effort—being understanding, supportive, and continually finding new ways to get along. Even when you know someone as well as you know Miss Johns, every day is still a new day. How you live it can still hold unknowns and fresh experiences.
The key to finding that passion again lies in these two things. But since every couple is unique, this is something only you can figure out together.”
Andrew nodded, his mind whirring with the information. “You can leave now.”
Malachi could tell from Andrew’s thoughtful expression that his words had struck a chord. What he had shared came from real-life relationship advice his friends had given. Given Andrew’s higher intellect, Malachi was confident he would succeed.
As Malachi exited, he couldn’t help but hope that Andrew and Madisyn would rekindle their spark soon.
