Chapter 1117:
They were his favorite real-life couple.
Inside the office, after Malachi left, Andrew now had clarity on the path ahead. While he didn’t see any flaws in Madisyn, he understood that routine life could dull the excitement if it wasn’t nurtured with care and romance.
He pulled out his phone and began to ask people online how they surprised their loved ones.
There were dozens of responses to the post soon. Andrew sifted through them, but with each suggestion, his frown deepened.
The reason was simple: none of these ideas felt right for Madisyn.
To Andrew, Madisyn was inimitable, one of a kind.
Though the netizens’ ideas were pleasant, none of them matched his idea of a meaningful surprise.
If Malachi had been there, he would have had a laugh at Andrew’s expense. Malachi could have easily identified the inexperience behind those net names offering advice. Could their idea of romance ever match someone with Andrew’s vast resources?
But Malachi wasn’t there, and Andrew didn’t yet realize where the problem lay.
He set the phone down and grabbed his pen, writing the word “Plan” in bold, deliberate strokes on the page.
Madisyn’s hard work had paid off. Although one final stage remained, Johns Group had significantly improved according to her plan, and employee productivity had surged.
Watching the employees greet her, beaming with joy, Madisyn felt a surge of pride, a deep sense of accomplishment filling her heart. As she soaked in the moment, her phone rang. She glanced at the screen and saw it was her mother calling.
“Mom,” Madisyn answered.

Elaine’s voice came through the line, warm and inviting. “Madisyn, are you swamped with work? How about a shopping trip with me?”
Madisyn rarely turned down invitations from Elaine, and it just so happened she had a bit of free time right now. “Right now? Should I pick you up at home?”
Elaine chuckled on the other end. “No need, I’m already at the shopping district near the office. Just come here.”
“Okay.”
Madisyn ended the call with Elaine, gave her secretary a few instructions, and headed out.
When she arrived at the shopping district, Elaine studied her closely, concern knitting her brows. “Madisyn, you’ve lost weight. Haven’t you been eating properly lately?”
Madisyn had been so focused on work lately that she’d indeed shed a few pounds. She didn’t want Elaine to worry, so she quickly reassured her, “Mom, this body is just perfect for me.”
Madisyn twirled around playfully, showing off her figure. She looked stunning, but Elaine remained unconvinced.
“Sweetheart, you’ve always been slender enough. Neither being too thin nor gaining too much weight is healthy. I heard from your brother that you’ve been doing a fantastic job at Johns Group, but if you’re working yourself into the ground and risking your health, I won’t be happy about it. Your hard work matters, but so does your well-being.” Elaine gave Madisyn a look that clearly said she wouldn’t hesitate to stop Madisyn from going to work if she didn’t start eating right.
