Chapter 1105:
🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙
This time, she doubled her precautions, arranging for Coen to help Vincent shake off any tails.
She arrived in disguise: hat pulled low, mask shielding half her face.
When she stepped inside, Vincent was already waiting, looking noticeably thinner, as if the last few days had carved away at him. “You’re here,” he murmured, his voice carrying a raspy weariness.
Hannah took the seat opposite him and laid out everything Coen had gathered. When she finished, her tone was grave. “Vera is rushing the wedding for a reason. I’m certain she plans to force the signing during the ceremony—right in front of the guests. Once your name is on that paper, the Jones Group will be lost for good.”
Vincent listened without interrupting, his fingers drifting along the warm rim of his coffee cup as though grounding himself. Only when she finished did he lift his gaze. The depth in his eyes felt like a locked room. “She’s quite greedy.”
Hannah nodded and leaned in, her voice dropping. “With the wedding approaching, she’ll undoubtedly keep an even closer watch on you. We need a plan before the wedding, or she’ll walk away with everything.”
A hush settled between them.
Vincent considered their options, the gears turning behind his calm expression. Then he looked up, his tone steady—almost cold. “I will transfer all my shares into your name.”

Hannah froze, stunned. “What?”
“I will transfer all my shares to you,” Vincent said, each word deliberate.
Her shock burst out in a frantic shake of the head. “No—no, that’s not a good idea. Vincent, you must think this through! We’re not legally related. As far as the law is concerned, I’m practically a stranger to you! You’re talking about transferring shares worth hundreds of billions to me? That’s outrageous! The risk is enormous! Why not transfer them to your mother? She’s your immediate family!”
At the word “stranger,” Vincent’s expression darkened, something complicated flickering behind his eyes. He shook his head. “She sides with Vera. Now that my grandma is gone…”
He paused, his gaze lingering on Hannah with a quiet heaviness. “You’re the only person I can trust.”
The weight of that sentence landed squarely on her shoulders, cold and heavy. “Vincent, this still isn’t wise,” she insisted. “There are safer options—an irrevocable trust, or distributing the shares among several people who aren’t linked to you…”
“We don’t have the luxury of time,” Vincent cut in, his voice firm. “Before the wedding, Vera will have eyes on me every second. If we start anything complicated, she’ll sense it immediately. This is the fastest, cleanest way to overturn her plan.” He held her gaze, something turbulent swirling beneath his otherwise composed look. “Please. Just consider doing so for my grandmother. Would you really stand by while the company she built with lifelong effort falls into the hands of someone like Vera? If that happens… how could I face my grandmother after I’m gone?”
