Chapter 1114:
🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙
To prove Hannah’s words, the video switched to live footage outside the office: police tape stretched across the entrance, officers moving in and out.
“No… this can’t be real!” Vera’s whole body trembled.
She snatched Colden’s unlocked phone and stared at the screen, finding the devastating headline at the very top. Her grip loosened, and the phone slipped from her hand. Everything she had counted on for a comeback was destroyed right before her eyes, all because of Hannah.
“It’s you! Hannah, you did this! You ruined everything, you vicious woman!” Vera screamed, lashing out wildly as she tried to attack Hannah.
“Restrain her,” Vincent ordered, his voice firm. Several bodyguards stepped forward and quickly held Vera back.
Hannah held Vera in an icy stare. “You have no one to blame but yourself.” She paused, her tone turning sharp and merciless. “And you can’t run away. You murdered Sharon, and you will answer for it.”
Vera threw her head back and burst into manic laughter. “She deserved it! She deserved that fate!”
Without hesitation, Hannah stepped forward and struck Vera hard across the face, the slap echoing through the room. “You vicious snake!”

Vincent’s expression grew colder as he handed Hannah a handkerchief. “Wipe your hand. Don’t dirty yourself.”
Hannah accepted the cloth, wiped her palm, and tossed it aside without a second thought. “When something is contaminated, it loses all value.” Vincent responded with the slightest nod.
A moment later, the rising wail of sirens filled the air. A team of officers, led by Gavin, rushed into the hall and quickly secured the chaotic scene.
Gavin presented his badge and an arrest warrant, his authoritative voice echoing. “Vera Oliver, you are under arrest for premeditated murder, commercial fraud, tax evasion, and several other criminal charges. Officers, take her into custody.” Two female officers approached, positioned themselves on either side of Vera, and locked cold metal cuffs around her wrists.
Vera thrashed and struggled wildly against the restraints.
As she was escorted past Danica, Vera suddenly jerked forward with desperate strength. She tore free from the officers just long enough to snatch a fruit knife from the table. In one swift movement, she yanked Danica tight against her and pressed the blade to her neck.
Danica shook uncontrollably. “Someone help me! Vincent, please! Vera, what are you doing? I treated you well! You can’t do this to me!”
“Don’t move! Get me a car and let me leave! Do it now, or she dies!” Vera screamed, her hair in disarray, her gaze filled with madness.
The trembling knife in her hand carved a shallow, bleeding line across Danica’s neck.
Danica let out a terrified, piercing scream.
Gavin’s expression hardened as he motioned for his team to hold still and avoid provoking Vera.
Vera tightened her grip on Danica, using her as a shield. Her frantic eyes darted across the room before landing on Vincent and Hannah. “Let me go right now! Vincent, this is your mother! Are you seriously going to stand there and watch her die?”
