Chapter 508:

Micah’s confusion grew, and his tone turned cold. “Just spit it out.” Summoning his courage, Norris turned his tablet screen towards his boss, displaying the livestreaming page of the reality show.
“Miss McAllister is part of this show. And… Oliver and your cousin, Thomas, are also there,” Norris explained, his voice quivering slightly.
Micah snatched the tablet from Norris’s hand and fixated his gaze on the screen.
Darya and Oliver were navigating through a lush forest together. Oliver was diligently protecting Darya, ensuring her safety at every step. Meanwhile, Astrid, who was tagging along and pouting, seemed like an unwanted presence.
The audience, through their real-time comments, were rooting for Darya and Oliver, with some even shipping them together.
As Norris expected, Micah’s expression darkened. A storm was brewing in his eyes.
“Boss, please, try not to get too angry,” Norris said.
“Where are they filming this? Take me there!” Micah’s voice rumbled lowly, his determination evident.
He tossed the tablet back to Norris and walked away with determined strides. Norris hurriedly caught up with Micah and drove him to the park where Darya was shooting the show.
As Darya realized Astrid’s ulterior motives and her attempt to use Oliver to generate buzz for the show, she knew the actress might become a burden.
Just as she expected, during their trek through the forest, Astrid conveniently twisted her ankle. This time, Oliver didn’t catch her in time.
Astrid fell to the ground, letting out a dramatic, blood-curdling scream. Darya furrowed her brows, her expression icy.
Despite Astrid’s theatrics, Oliver still ran to her side, his concern evident. “Astrid, are you okay?”
Astrid’s eyes turned red, and she gritted her teeth, pretending to be in pain. She nodded and attempted to stand up but moaned in agony once again.

“I don’t think I can walk. Oliver, can you carry me?” Astrid asked, seizing the opportunity to make her move.
Oliver’s face froze, his hesitation palpable.
After a moment, he responded, “If it hurts too much to walk, I’ll ask the director to arrange for someone to take you to the doctor.”
Astrid hadn’t anticipated Oliver’s rejection. She quickly replied, “No, no need! I can manage! Just help me up, and I’ll be fine!”
She knew she had to stay on screen if she wanted to make a name for herself in the entertainment industry. This opportunity was too rare to let slip away. She needed the popularity and exposure for future opportunities.
