“Can I take a look at the riddle?” Astrid interjected, hoping to capture some attention from the cameras. She squeezed closer to Darya and asked eagerly.

Reluctantly, Darya showed Astrid the riddle. However, it only served to confuse Astrid further.

“I believe the treasure might indeed be in the water. Let me go find it,” Darya declared, not wanting to waste any more time. Her competitive spirit burned bright. With opponents like Thomas in the mix, they couldn’t afford to slack off.

Darya prepared to remove her coat and venture into the water, but Oliver held her back.

“Hold on, don’t go in. It’s freezing, and I don’t want you catching a cold,” Oliver said, his eyes filled with concern. The viewers watching couldn’t help but swoon. Some were moved by the gesture, while others were worried. Meanwhile, Micah, who had almost arrived on set, wore an unpleasant expression on his face.

Oliver insisted on being the one to enter the water, leaving Darya with no choice but to agree. But before Oliver went in, Darya continued deciphering the rest of the riddle. Once she was certain it pointed to this particular river, she signaled for Oliver to proceed with the search.

As Oliver shed his coat, Astrid moved forward, as if to take it, but was surprised when Oliver draped it around Darya’s shoulders instead. He spoke gently, “Don’t catch a cold.”

Darya was taken aback, realizing that Oliver must have been instructed by Bradley Gould to act as her romantic partner for the show. They were supposed to put on a convincing performance.

“Get out of the water quickly, or you might suffer from hypothermia,” Darya replied tenderly.

This scene caused a stir among the viewers.

The show was still being broadcast live, and Darya and Oliver were already the talk of the town. Just as Oliver stepped into the water, Thomas and his group arrived.

“You beat us to it?” Thomas exclaimed, astonished at the sight of Darya. He had expected to win this competition, considering his experience and knack for adventure. But Darya and her team had beaten him to the punch.

“Yeah, now that you’re here, it confirms my theory. The treasure is somewhere in this water,” Darya declared with a triumphant smile.

Thomas, being equally competitive, wasn’t one to accept defeat easily. Determined not to lose, he plunged into the water, hoping to outpace Oliver in finding the treasure. Since Oliver had entered the river first, he had a slight advantage over Thomas.

Oliver quickly discovered the treasure hidden by the production team and emerged from the river. “That’s fantastic!” Darya exclaimed, rushing over with excitement. Oliver, too, couldn’t contain his joy. Ignoring his drenched state, he embraced Darya, who was draped in his coat.

“You’re brilliant, Darya,” Oliver said, beaming with pride. “Without your analysis, we wouldn’t have found the right location.”

Darya basked in the glory of her victory, but her joy was shattered by a chilling gaze fixed upon her. Slowly turning her head, she found Micah standing nearby, out of camera range, his unhappy expression piercing through her. Surprised to see Micah here, Darya furrowed her brow momentarily before pushing him out of her mind. After everything they had been through, she couldn’t let his presence affect her happiness.

After a long day, the reality show came to a smooth conclusion, and Darya didn’t have to check online to know that her interactions with Oliver had surely garnered a lot of attention. As the live broadcast ended, Darya and Oliver strolled out of the park, chatting and laughing.

But Micah briskly walked ahead of Darya and grabbed her hand, surprising her.

“Micah, what on earth are you doing?” Darya exclaimed, shaking off his hand.
