Chapter 107:
🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙
For a moment, Stella felt a bit embarrassed. She didn’t know if it was a good thing or a bad thing.
During this time, she had felt a bit conflicted. Tristan and Adrian had been spending time together, and although their relationship was complicated, Stella didn’t want Adrian to get involved in it.
However, now it seemed like Tristan didn’t care about the complications.
He acted as though, as long as he was there, any relationship issues didn’t matter. That made Stella feel like she was the only one still worried about it.
For a moment, she didn’t say anything.
Similarly, on the other end of the screen, Tristan remained silent as well.
It was as if they were both waiting for the other person to speak first. Meanwhile, Adrian sat beside Tristan, happily eating his cotton candy.
Occasionally, Adrian would look up at Stella on the screen, then turn to Tristan, seemingly observing their every move. There was a strange, unspoken feeling in the air.
Three minutes later, Tristan finally broke the silence.
“Okay, I’ll hang up now. You go ahead and do your work. If it gets late and you don’t feel safe going home alone, call me anytime. I’ll come pick you up.”
Stella replied awkwardly, “Hmmm…”
“Darling… Bye! Mwah!” Adrian stretched out his little hand and waved at her through the screen.
Stella felt a mix of relief and concern. It was heartwarming to see how well her son was getting along with Tristan, and how much fun they were having together.
But as for Tristan’s kindness toward her and Adrian… she couldn’t accept it so easily. She knew that, in the end, nothing could happen between them.
Accepting his kindness now would mean she’d have to repay him later.

So, there was still a knot in Stella’s heart.
After packing her documents, Stella headed to the locker room to change her clothes. She planned to go to Starlight Nightclub tonight with Cherry to see if they could get lucky and meet Andrew Matthews.
Stella had just finished changing out of her work clothes when she heard the sound of the door handle turning.
She assumed it was one of her female colleagues coming in to change, so she called out softly, “Wait a minute! Someone’s in here!”
The door to the locker room was locked, but despite her warning, the doorknob continued to turn.
Stella turned around in surprise and watched as the door opened. A tall, imposing figure entered the room.
Stella felt irritated. She was sure she had locked the door before entering. Was the lock broken? But that wasn’t the main point—the main point was that it was clearly labeled as the women’s locker room.
What was a man doing here?
When she looked up at his face, she realized it was him… RK.
“What are you doing here?” she demanded.
This man! His assistant had told her earlier that the president had already left work! Why was he back in the company, and more importantly, why was he in the women’s locker room?
Stella was so furious that her face turned red. She quickly grabbed her clothes and held them in front of herself.
“This company is mine. I can go wherever I want. Do I need to report to you where I’m going?” RK said, walking toward her with steady steps.
Usually, the president’s floor was quiet, but now, in the locker room, there were only two people. The silence was almost suffocating, broken only by the sound of his leather shoes on the marble floor.
Stella was at a loss for words.
Okay, she admitted the whole company belonged to him, and he was the big boss, but that still didn’t give him the right to walk into the women’s locker room, right?
But there was no point in trying to explain that to him!
“Have you memorized the rules and regulations of the company?” his voice asked, growing closer and closer.
The president’s strides were long, and in just a few steps, he was standing in front of her.
Stella instinctively stepped back, but there was no room to retreat with the lockers behind her.
“Well…” she stammered.
Was he really in the women’s locker room just to ask if she had memorized the company’s rules and regulations? What a joke!
He had to be doing this on purpose.
Stella glared at him angrily. “Go out first! I’ll come find you later!” she snapped.
