Chapter 337:
🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙
“Oh, you are looking for Rene Kingston. What a coincidence. I am RK.” The one who spoke was Aden. At first, Carson had indeed mistaken him for RK, but later he discovered that Aden was also well-known.
“You are RK, aren’t you? I heard that you are dashingly handsome, not to mention having the guts to seduce the woman I like.” Carson was fully aware that he was trying to act ruthlessly like a bully, yet he failed miserably to frighten the two of them.
“Oh, that has nothing to do with me. Rene, did you turn down another girl?” Aden entered the conversation with a wicked smile and settled down under a tree with a group of basketball team members to watch the fun.
“Are you RK?” Carson asked, eyeing the attractive yet quieter man beside Aden.
Carson had to admit that RK was indeed stunning, but was it true that girls no longer fell for playboys, as their tastes turned more toward cold and icy men instead? Alas, girls nowadays were indeed unpredictable. Could one conquer the world solely based on appearance? It was too ridiculous!
Girls these days… were foolish to judge based on looks.
“Yes, I am,” RK replied.
There seemed to be one thing Carson understood about why all the girls pursued RK. His angelic voice seemed to descend from the heavens, like that of a peerless singer. If the guy were to sing a song, especially a love song, it would be no different from tempting all the girls into taking their own lives.
“RK, how do you intend to explain seducing the woman I set my sights on?” Carson assumed he was a typical bully.
“There’s nothing I want to explain. It isn’t my fault that I am good-looking.” RK’s words implied, “Since I am good-looking, I have the right to do so. If you are capable enough, go ahead and disfigure my face.”
Carson felt that he needed to show RK how powerful he was.
“See you at the basketball court. Let’s have a one-on-one duel.”

The next day, both groups skipped class at the same time.
For RK, skipping class wasn’t a big deal. Since he had always maintained excellent grades, the teachers had nothing to say about him taking a brief break for relaxation. However, it was different for others, especially Carson.
His teacher was his biological aunt, so he silently prayed that he would not be discovered by her for skipping class.
Through contests, everyone’s abilities could be assessed at a glance. RK and Aden were the pillars of the opposing team. As long as Carson defeated both of them, winning the match wouldn’t be a problem. Unfortunately, Carson forgot that he was also the pillar of his team—the only support. This meant that if he was defeated, it would lead to a terrible loss for him.
In the end, he lost. Not only did he lose, but it was also a miserable defeat.
Since then, RK had become his biggest rival. The two of them were in constant confrontation until the last competition held during their graduation. As always, he competed with RK, but there was no doubt he was defeated.
Moreover, he accidentally injured his leg and was sent abroad by his father. Otherwise, he would have stirred trouble for RK’s university and annoyed him by pestering him nonstop.
Later, he worked hard abroad, fearing that he would fall behind RK. He knew that no matter when he met RK, RK would have improved in every aspect. He couldn’t afford to fall behind, as it was his goal.
Before long, the food in the hotel was served. Carson sat at the dining table, enjoying his meal after packing up and heading out for breakfast. He was back two days earlier than expected.
The elders in the family were unaware of his early return, assuming he would come back in two days. They never expected him to arrive so soon. His purpose was none other than to meet RK and seek revenge for all those years ago.
He admitted that at that time, he had indeed been a bully—a womanizer who flirted with female classmates. Other than his aunt, he had never obeyed any of the other teachers. As a mischievous boy, he relied on his family’s wealth to get away with all sorts of trouble.
However, in reality, none of it was true. He had never committed any misdeeds nor was he fond of fighting. Similarly, he didn’t enjoy watching others get beaten up. He preferred comedy over romantic films that stirred jealousy. His favorite genre was rock music.
He had never had a delicate personality. Perhaps that was why girls had never fallen for him. That was what he thought… It certainly wasn’t because he wasn’t as handsome as RK.
To be honest, he had to admit that Carson’s facial features were sharp and well-defined. With proper care, it was a piece of cake for girls to fall for him. Without proper care, however, one could easily look foolish.
Carson was far from being foolish. Instead, he was wise and innocent at the same time, adding to his charm and attractiveness, even if his character was a little rough.
At nine o’clock in the morning, Carson was seen waiting for RK at a prime spot in the coffee shop. After some time, he watched as RK took slow yet confident steps toward him.
Carson couldn’t help but burst into laughter at the first sight of RK. Sure enough, RK was still RK. He was dressed as elegantly as before, appearing dashing, but to be honest, his outfit could do nothing to protect him from the cold of winter or the heat of summer.
When he saw Carson, RK had to admit that after all these years, the guy seemed to have matured a little. He was no longer acting like the ruffian he used to be; instead, he resembled a successful man.
When the two foes met, their eyes blazed with hatred.
Having not seen RK for years, Carson could tell that RK had become even more handsome than before. He wondered how excited his former female classmates would be upon seeing him.
Ha… What a bunch of childish girls.
