Chapter 384:
🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙
“Hey, guess who I am?” Carson said deliberately in a low voice, making Violet want to kick him.
“Besides Carson, who else would be so twisted?” Violet replied disdainfully, though the corners of her mouth unconsciously curled into a smile.
“You are right!” Carson completely ignored Violet’s other remarks, his tone full of excitement. “Miss Bryant, guess where I am.”
Violet could imagine the expression on Carson’s face through the phone. She replied with mock disdain, “Where are you?”
“You can see me when you open the window,” Carson said, looking up at the window of Violet’s room.
Violet walked to the window with a suspicious expression and looked down. Sure enough, she saw Carson’s car parked below.
Carson waited for a moment until he saw Violet’s face reappear at the window after two days apart. He smiled sincerely.
Then, he noticed that her head quickly withdrew from the window.
Huh? Where did that girl go?
After a while, Carson saw the lights in the corridor turn on one after another. The sound of Violet’s footsteps as she came downstairs grew closer, and at last, her petite figure appeared in his sight.
“Why are you back?” Violet asked, breathless from her hasty descent.
“What? Are you unhappy that I’m back?” Carson laughed. “It’s so late. Why haven’t you slept yet? Could it be that you’re hiding someone in your house?”
“Get lost.” Violet rolled her eyes. “I was playing a game in bed. I was just about to clear a level when you called.” Carson laughed but didn’t respond further.

“Hey, that’s not right. It’s late. Shouldn’t you go home first? What are you doing at my house? You’re a man, so you can’t stay here!” Violet said with a mock-serious expression.
“I’m trying to be romantic, but you don’t appreciate it.” Carson snorted. “Isn’t it because I miss…”
The last word, “you,” got caught in his throat, and he couldn’t finish.
“You’re asking for a beating, aren’t you? Haha.” Violet giggled innocently.
What was not romantic? Was it really appropriate for a girl to be so careless?
“No, the rogue is going to sleep in your house tonight.” Carson simply competed with Violet, eager to see who would give in first.
Violet angrily smacked Carson’s arm, causing him to howl like a pig being slaughtered.
“Ah… It hurts…”
“Ah? What’s wrong? Am I so strong?” Violet teased as she took off his suit jacket and looked him over. Only then did she notice that Carson was injured.
“Why? Do you still want to harass me? I’m an extremely strong man!” Carson laughed foolishly.
“What’s wrong with you? Don’t tell me you fell in the bathroom?” Violet frowned. “I just said you don’t have a brain. How could you fall in the bathroom and end up like this?”
Before he could explain how he fell, she had already chastised him. But that was a good thing; he could ask her to take care of him openly, hahaha…
Carson was still giggling when Violet pulled him into her home. He was extremely satisfied.
After returning home, Violet quickly lifted Carson’s arm and examined it. Before he had time to take in his surroundings, she forced him to sit down.
“It’s okay; it’s just a contusion. The bone isn’t damaged. It should recover soon.” After her examination, Violet breathed a sigh of relief.
“Hey, how do you know? That’s what the doctor said when he checked me.”
“Of course, my previous…” Violet suddenly stopped, realizing she might accidentally say “boyfriend.” She decisively shut her mouth.
Since she had decided to forget him, she should not remember anything about him.
“What?” Carson asked, curious.
“No, I was just going to say that I’ve also been injured like this before. That’s what the doctor told me back then, so I have an impression of it.”
Carson nodded, but his instincts told him that she had something else on her mind.
“Hey, by the way, you said you were playing a game. What kind of game were you playing?”
“Oh yes, my game.” Violet quickly ran into the bedroom, jumped onto her bed, and grabbed her tablet. Then she trotted back out and handed it to Carson. “I died.”
When Carson opened it, he couldn’t help but break out in a cold sweat. It turned out that the game she was talking about was Temple Run… What was there to be proud of…?
“Temple Run…” Carson was speechless, and the corner of his mouth twitched.
“Hey, don’t look down on Temple Run. This game is very interesting. You’re an amateur, so you don’t understand what us masters have experienced.” Violet patted her chest proudly. When Carson got an extremely high score, Violet felt like she wanted to bite off her tongue.
“F*ck, can I take back my words? This guy’s gaming skills are impressive. Why didn’t anyone tell me in advance?” she complained to herself.
