Chapter 388:
🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙
Violet held the note in her hand, wondering if Carson had been there before. However, when she looked around, she found that there was no one nearby. With disappointment, she had no choice but to enter the house.
After dinner that evening, Violet was about to lie on her bed to play games and vent her anger when the doorbell rang. Sure enough, when she opened the door, she was met with Carson’s smiling face. She instinctively closed the door, but his body prevented her from shutting it. He laughed, and she couldn’t help but scold him again.
After listening to Violet’s scolding and observing her expression, he noticed that her face had turned a little red, perhaps because she was angry. She stared at him as if he hadn’t heard her words at all. This only made her angrier.
“Carson, did you even listen to what I said?” Violet roared, hitting Carson with her fist.
“What?”
Carson had been lost in thought until Violet’s punch brought him back to reality, making him ask what she had just said.
“Carson, you…” Violet was exasperated. She snorted and turned to leave.
Seeing that Violet was about to close the door, Carson realized she was genuinely angry this time. He quickly took her hand and explained, “Violet, don’t you want me to come in and have a seat?”
“A seat?” Violet snorted, preparing to close the door again. Carson couldn’t bear it any longer and shouted, “Violet, why are you so unreasonable?”
When Violet heard Carson call her unreasonable, she abruptly stopped what she was doing and asked, “Carson, what did you just say? Who is being unreasonable?”
Carson shrugged and pointed at Violet. “Is there anyone else here except you?”

In that brief moment, Violet’s eyes filled with tears. After a while, her tears fell on her cheeks like pearls from a broken string.
“Violet, why are you crying?”
In Carson’s eyes, Violet had always been a strong and optimistic girl. No matter what kind of grievance she faced, she wouldn’t easily shed tears. At most, she would beat him to vent her anger. However, seeing Violet in tears made Carson realize the depth of her feelings.
“Violet, don’t cry… Why don’t you punch me a few more times to let out your anger? Just don’t cry. I don’t even know how to handle it when you cry.” Carson wiped Violet’s tears, but the more he tried, the more she cried.
Violet didn’t understand what was happening to her that day. When she saw Carson and Stella sitting together, she suddenly felt a new sensation. Was it because Carson thought she was too violent and didn’t like her? Or had Carson always preferred girls like Stella? Why did she feel a strange jealousy in her heart, as if she was about to lose something?
In other words, she felt like something precious was slipping away…
“Violet, don’t cry, okay? It’s my fault.”
Carson looked at Violet, who was wiping away her tears, and his heart began to tremble. Although he had some feelings for her, he didn’t understand why he felt so sad when he saw her crying so hard.
“Carson, you are such an old lecher. Not only are you bullying me, but you’re also bullying my best friend, Stella. Tell me, how many other girls have you bullied?” Violet’s temper flared, and she could no longer contain herself.
When Carson heard Violet’s words, he suddenly understood. “So, you know Stella?”
“Otherwise, what do you think? You are an old rogue! A smelly rogue!” Violet cried and began to hit Carson again.
Looking at Violet’s lovely face, Carson suddenly stepped forward. Violet’s body was immediately pulled into a strong embrace.
Her remaining words were drowned in an affectionate kiss. His cold tongue slipped into her mouth, greedily capturing her breath. He tried his best to explore every corner of her being.
That sudden movement made them forget everything around them.
Violet looked at Carson, who was kissing her. He didn’t seem to notice it at all, but at that moment, he felt an overwhelming impulse to kiss her.
Carson pushed Violet away, his expression somewhat unnatural. Violet, no longer scolding him, stood there in a daze.
Carson seemed to want to explain something, but his words felt stuck in his throat, leaving him at a loss for what to say. Therefore, all his words turned into actions. Carson wiped away the tears on her face. Violet blinked, looking at him in silence, as she tried to recall the kiss they had just shared.
