Chapter 389:
🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙
“Violet, I didn’t know that Stella was your best friend.”
“If she isn’t my best friend, would you tease her? Carson, you bastard, you always bully me! Do you think I’m easy to push around?” Violet was a little agitated as she spoke, and tears welled up in her eyes unconsciously. She knew she had fallen in love with Carson because he was always by her side.
However, she didn’t feel secure at all. Did he stay by her side just for fun?
“Violet, don’t be angry anymore, okay?”
Perhaps, in Carson’s heart, the reason he got close to Violet was just for fun. However, after a while, he suddenly realized that his feelings for Violet were different from what he initially thought, though even he couldn’t figure it out.
“Girl, don’t be angry with me again, okay?” Seeing that Violet was still upset, Carson tried his best to cheer her up, but he didn’t realize that no matter what he did, Violet couldn’t be comforted.
Carson had no idea what Violet was thinking. He thought she was angry because he had flirted with her best friend, but that wasn’t the case at all.
“Why were you with Stella?” Even though Violet was angry, she still wanted to ask why he had been with her that day. Did Carson really like Stella?
“It’s nothing.” Carson didn’t want to explain, but that answer only made Violet angrier.
“Get out of my house!”
Violet tried her best to push Carson out, but as a weak woman, how could she move a strong young man?
“Violet, don’t forget that you made a mistake in the interview last time. What did you promise me?”
Carson really couldn’t accept Violet’s refusal. He felt they couldn’t communicate normally, so he brought up her interview mistake.

Upon hearing that, Violet stopped and her eyes filled with tears. She looked into Carson’s eyes and said, word by word, “I did promise you. If you want to talk about it, I can promise you that I won’t be angry anymore. However, this is my home, and I have the right to make decisions here. I want to rest, so please leave.”
Seeing the sudden change in Violet’s expression, Carson panicked. He knew he shouldn’t threaten or force her, but her behavior left him with no choice but to mention the interview mistake.
The reality was hard to predict; Violet had not changed because of this.
“Please leave. If you don’t leave now, I will call the police and say that you broke into my house!”
Violet wiped the tears from her face and looked at Carson stubbornly.
Carson’s temper suddenly flared up at the sight of Violet, who showed no intention of backing down. He angrily swung his arm and walked to the door. However, before he could say anything, she pushed him out.
“Violet, you are so unreasonable!” Carson had long lost his patience. He stood at the door and began to swear.
Violet and Carson were separated by the door; one was furious, and the other was tearful.
Although Carson was angry, he still hoped that Violet would open the door. Even as he scolded her and waited, the door remained shut.
Carson took a step forward and couldn’t help looking back. Overwhelmed by disappointment and helplessness, he left.
On the other side of the door, Violet burst into tears. She didn’t want to act this way, but the moment she saw Carson, all her reasons and rationality vanished.
She knew she had fallen in love with him. As long as it was something related to Carson, she couldn’t handle it well nor could she control herself.
Violet’s heart could no longer support her body. She slid down along the door and began to cry bitterly.
“Carson, you bastard, don’t you see that I like you? Or do you know that I like you but don’t want to express your feelings? Do you want me to serve you just for fun? Carson! Bastard!” Violet buried her head in her arms, overwhelmed by love and hate for him.
Carson, who had been rejected, walked alone on the street. He suddenly realized that when he saw Violet crying, he felt flustered and utterly lost—a sensation he had never felt before.
No matter how childish he was, when Carson met Violet, he felt that the childishness in his heart dissipated. When he was with her, he couldn’t help but want to kiss her. Even when she was being unreasonable, he couldn’t help but want to argue with her. Things were always fun and exciting with her. It seemed their relationship had transformed.
However, he couldn’t explain to himself what that feeling was.
Did he like her?
Was it love?
If so, why didn’t he know?
If it wasn’t love, then what was it?
“Violet, I don’t know what to do with you.”
