Chapter 502:
🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙
Damien, who had just exited the coffee shop, dialed Stella’s number.
“Stella, can I invite you to watch a movie with me?” Before Stella could respond, Damien quickly added,
“Don’t refuse me, okay? Just watch a movie with me, alright?”
On the other side of the phone, Stella felt that there was something Damien was hiding from her. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have spoken to her like this, and he wouldn’t have been in such a low mood.
“Well, wait for me at the college gate.” Stella hung up the phone and went out after saying goodbye to Emily. At the college gate, Damien was nervously waiting for Stella.
He couldn’t believe that she had agreed. Since the first time he had asked Stella out, Emily was always present. This was the first time he would be alone with Stella, and Damien suddenly felt a little uncomfortable.
“Damien, what’s wrong?” Stella walked up to him and noticed that he seemed dazed, which was not like the Damien she knew.
“‘Ah… it’s okay. I am very happy.” Damien smiled at Stella.
“Well, what movie are we going to watch?” Stella smiled back at Damien. She knew there must be something about him that he wasn’t telling her, but she didn’t want to press him. She was waiting for him to share.
“‘Just say it. We’ll watch what you like.” Damien scratched his head in embarrassment and smiled at Stella.
“Well, okay, then come with me to see a horror movie.” To be honest, Stella had wanted to see a horror movie for a long time. It just so happened that Emily didn’t want to watch it with her, and now someone would.
“Okay.” The horror movie was a great opportunity. Stella thought it would be nice to be scared and have him protect her. After thinking for a moment, she began to laugh internally.
When they arrived at the cinema, Damien went to queue up to buy tickets while Stella waited for him.

There were couples sitting nearby, and Stella looked at them, realizing that no one would accompany her to watch a movie in the future. After all, Emily didn’t like watching movies and preferred Korean dramas.
“Well, the movie will start soon.” Damien handed Stella the popcorn he had just bought. “‘Okay.” Stella picked it up and ate casually.
“I will go to London in a week…” Damien turned his head to look at Stella, gathering the courage to say this.
Stella’s hand, holding the popcorn, paused for a moment.
“You… don’t plan to attend my wedding before going to London?” Stella didn’t know how much of a blow this would be to him. However, she just thought that he was still young and would meet the right person in the future.
“No, I don’t want to call your cousin-in-law on my wedding day. I said I would never recognize you as my cousin-in-law in my life.” Damien looked at Stella and smiled, but his smile was uglier than crying.
“Cousin-in-law? How did I become your cousin-in-law?” Stella was momentarily stunned, not fully understanding what Damien had just said.
“‘Alas… it’s time. Let’s go in, Stella.” Damien glanced at the time and smiled at Stella, who was still dazed. He didn’t answer her question.
Before Stella could recover from what Damien had just said, he had already pulled her inside. However, Stella thought she had seen Damien’s eyes were red.
“‘Stella, I will tell you when the movie is over. Don’t be silly. The movie will start soon.”
Damien wanted to smile at Stella, but he suddenly found he couldn’t. He could only turn his head and stare at the movie screen.
Stella didn’t know how to comfort Damien. She could only watch the movie mechanically.
As they reached almost one-third of the film, Stella felt Damien’s hand on hers, but she didn’t move.
Noticing that Stella didn’t pull away, Damien boldly grasped her hand tighter.
Neither of them seemed to be paying attention to the plot of the movie. Even if it was terrifying, they didn’t seem to care.
The couple sitting next to them looked over, astonished that they didn’t react at all to the horror on the screen. They were so scared that they moved a seat away. They felt that Stella and Damien were just perverts, showing no reaction whatsoever.
To be honest, the two of them were simply lost in their own world and hardly registered the movie’s storyline.
After the film ended, people began to leave one by one. Soon, the once-crowded seats were empty, leaving only Stella and Damien behind.
“‘Let’s go.” Damien pulled Stella’s hand and stood up, then released her.
“Mmm.” Stella stood up and walked out first, followed by Damien.
The two walked down the street in silence, as if whoever spoke first would lose.
“Stella, I…” Damien wanted to confess his feelings to Stella, but just as the words were about to come out, he couldn’t bring himself to say anything.
“Damien, I know what you want to say.” Stella spoke up.
“Before you leave next week, I will definitely come back to see you off. I am sorry.” Stella didn’t know how to comfort Damien. From the beginning, she only regarded him as her younger brother and friend. However, in terms of a romantic relationship, Stella couldn’t accept it no matter how hard she tried.
