Chapter 512:
🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙
Unconsciously, RK picked up his phone and took a picture of Stella’s back, capturing the beautiful scene for eternity.
RK continued to admire Stella’s lovely back until, suddenly, she turned around and caught him staring, causing her to blush once more.
RK walked up to her, wrapping his arm around her shoulder as they enjoyed the afterglow of the setting sun. Time seemed to stand still in that moment. The sun slowly sank below the horizon, and the town fell into a serene quiet.
Both of them wore smiles, quietly bidding farewell to the last rays of sunlight. They were immersed in the beauty of the world around them, enchanted by nature’s splendor.
“RK, let’s stay here for a few more days,” Stella said, turning to look at him. RK nodded in agreement.
The next day, Stella woke up early, dazed from the sound of her phone ringing. She picked it up and heard Sophia’s voice; she was looking for RK.
Stella said nothing and turned her head, noticing that RK had gone out, forgetting to take his phone.
Without hesitation, Stella hung up, disinterested in hearing from Sophia.
Having just finished washing up, she heard the door open as RK walked in. “Sophia just called you,” he said.
“Did you answer my call?” RK frowned, glancing at her.
“I picked it up while I was still half-asleep. I thought it was my phone,” Stella replied, meeting his gaze, knowing he might not believe her.
“Okay,” RK said, letting it go. Just then, his phone rang again. He glanced at the screen—Sophia’s name appeared.

RK stepped out to the balcony to take the call.
Stella smiled to herself, feeling a bit self-deprecating. She grabbed her bag and phone and stepped outside.
After listening to Sophia’s complaints, RK hung up and turned to find Stella had left.
He dialed her number, but she didn’t answer.
As RK was about to go find her, he received a call from the company informing him of a video conference. He had no choice but to postpone his search for Stella.
Stella wandered along the streets, watching the people pass by, feeling an urge to settle down there.
However, thoughts of Sophia’s voice from the morning made her frown, and she tried to shake it off.
This place exuded a strong artistic atmosphere; the decor shops, art halls, and silver jewelry stores all showcased extraordinary styles. Stella discovered a collection store for Emily and bought a piece for herself as well.
RK returned around noon only to find that Stella had not yet come back.
He called her, and the call connected.
“Hey, RK. I’ve already had lunch. Don’t forget to eat,” Stella said, seated in a small restaurant, savoring local delicacies.
“Stella, where are you now? I’ll come look for you.” Since RK needed to return home earlier, he had booked a flight for six o’clock that afternoon.
“What’s the matter?” Stella felt an inexplicable reluctance to see RK.
“We have to head back this afternoon.” RK gazed out at the sea of love, recalling their wonderful day yesterday and smiling.
“Didn’t you just say we would stay here for two more days?” Stella frowned at the view outside, unwilling to leave.
“I have something to attend to and need to return home early.” RK’s words stirred a complex feeling within her.
Was it because she had heard from Sophia in the morning, prompting RK to hurry back?
“I see. I’m coming back now,” Stella replied reluctantly.
After hanging up, she paid her bill and began walking back slowly.
On her way to the airport, Stella remained silent, and RK sensed their relationship had reverted to its initial awkwardness.
“I won’t be able to take you to the RK Mansion. I have something to do, so you can return on your own,” RK informed her, leaving before she could object.
As he vanished from sight, Stella initially thought about calling Emily but hesitated, knowing Emily would ask why she returned early, so she put her phone down.
The car eventually pulled into a luxurious mansion, and Stella looked around, realizing just how wealthy RK truly was.
As soon as she stepped out of the car, someone approached her. “Madam, Sir has already called ahead. I’ll take you to rest. You must be very tired after returning to the country.” Maya welcomed her warmly. Having cared for RK since childhood, she was genuinely pleased to see him married to such a gentle and elegant woman.
“Well, what should I call you?” Stella inquired, recognizing Maya was no ordinary nanny.
“Just call me Aunt Maya,” she smiled, leading the way.
“Yes, Aunt Maya, please take me to rest,” Stella replied with a smile.
Aunt Maya stopped talking, clearly satisfied with her new role as the hostess.
They ascended to the second floor, where Aunt Maya opened the door to Stella’s room. Stella entered, smiled at Maya, and closed the door behind her.
As she surveyed the room’s layout, Stella noticed she and RK shared similar tastes. However, upon spotting the photos of RK and Sophia on the table next to her, she confirmed she was indeed in RK’s room.
Feeling uncomfortable, Stella turned and exited, finding Aunt Maya in the garden. “Aunt Maya, are there any other rooms?” she asked, not wanting to share a space with RK, especially given the pictures of him and Sophia.
“This… this isn’t something I can decide. I need to ask Sir,” Aunt Maya replied, surprised by Stella’s directness.
Stella thought for a moment and nodded at Aunt Maya before returning to the room.
Once inside, Stella called RK.
“RK, I asked you to change my room,” she stated, wishing to minimize communication with him.
“Madam, your husband didn’t intend to give you another room,” RK responded, taken aback. He had not expected her to request not to share a room with him.
Stella knew RK wouldn’t change his mind, so she hung up the phone.
Left with no choice, Stella set out to find another room herself. Ultimately, she chose one at the end of the corridor, wanting to distance herself from RK. At dinner time, she ventured downstairs alone.
A table laden with food awaited her, but the place settings were only for her, indicating that RK wouldn’t be joining her.
After dinner, Stella returned to her room.
Standing by the window, she gazed outside and noticed dark clouds gathering, signaling an impending storm…
At the RK family mansion, the rain began to pour heavily as night fell. With autumn approaching, the downpour brought a chill. The vast mansion was quiet, illuminated only by faint lights. The rain pattered against the French windows, creating an uneasy atmosphere.
