Chapter 514:
🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙
Stella’s height was considered average among women, but she felt very small standing next to RK. She barely reached his chest.
After helping RK catch his breath, she guided him to the second floor and into the bedroom. As Stella assisted RK to the side of the bed, she suddenly felt her legs go weak. Before she could let go, both she and RK tumbled onto the comfortable, wide bed.
RK lost his balance due to his drunkenness and fell on top of Stella. At that moment, she felt her body sink, overwhelmed by his breath, which was heavy with the strong scent of alcohol and a faint hint of cigarettes. The delicate aroma of women’s perfume lingered as well.
The sound of RK’s breathing reached Stella’s ears, the heat radiating from him flushed her cheeks and quickened her heartbeat. Memories of their past encounters flooded her mind.
Suddenly, a flash of lightning illuminated the room, and Stella caught RK’s gaze fixed on her.
“I’ll sleep in the guest room. You should go to bed early,” Stella said, turning her head to look at him calmly.
RK studied Stella’s expressionless face, unsure of her thoughts.
“Stella, I told you I won’t allow you to sleep in a different room,” he insisted, grabbing her and tossing her back onto the bed.
With that, RK walked into the bathroom.
“Don’t make me repeat myself, or you won’t like the consequences,” he warned, which left Stella feeling quite unhappy.
She wasn’t the one who had gotten drunk in the middle of the night, so why was RK treating her this way?
However, she didn’t want to provoke RK’s temper; instead, she lifted the blanket and hid beneath it.

When RK emerged from the bathroom and spotted Stella in bed, he suddenly smiled.
He approached her side of the bed, smiling at Stella, who was breathing steadily. He knew she wasn’t asleep but was pretending to be.
RK still felt a bit of a headache, so he rubbed his forehead and lay down on the other side of the bed. Glancing at Stella, who was on her back, he reached out and pulled her into his arms.
Startled, Stella’s eyes flew open, but she couldn’t push RK away because she was feigning sleep. She resigned herself to his embrace.
RK noticed her movement but she continued to pretend to be asleep. He held her close and closed his eyes.
Time passed quickly, and before they knew it, it was late autumn.
Stella continued her life as before, with a driver at the RK Mansion taking her to college every day. Since marrying RK, he had not allowed her to live at school.
One afternoon, Stella and Emily were having lunch at a restaurant when Stella smiled at her foodie friend.
Even though Damien and Tristan were gone, Emily remained, which brought her comfort.
Suddenly, her phone rang. Stella checked it and frowned when she saw it was Sophia.
“Stella, what’s wrong? Who called?” Emily noticed Stella’s sudden change in demeanor and sensed something was off.
“Sophia,” Stella replied, unsure why Sophia would call her. Despite her reluctance, she answered.
“Hey, what’s the matter?” Stella wanted to avoid small talk with Sophia.
But then she heard RK’s voice.
“Rene, I’ll attend the dinner party tomorrow with you.”
“Good girl, I want to take you to the party, but I can’t this time. I promise I’ll take you next time, okay?” RK’s gentle tone sounded reassuring from the other end of the phone.
“Why? Are you bringing Stella with you?” The thought of RK and Stella together ignited jealousy in Sophia.
“Yes, mainly because Mrs. Reed specifically suggested that I bring Stella along, so you can just go with Evan,” RK explained.
He frowned at the thought of Stella and hoped she wouldn’t say anything inappropriate. Not wanting to hear more, Stella hung up the phone.
“Stella, are you okay?” Emily asked, noticing her friend’s troubled expression.
“I’m fine. Let’s continue eating,” Stella replied with a forced smile, lowering her head. Though it looked like she was eating, she was on the verge of exploding with anger.
In the afternoon, Stella received another call from RK, asking her to accompany him to the dinner party the next day. After considering it, she didn’t refuse.
RK mentioned he wouldn’t be returning home that night, assuring her that a driver would pick her up tomorrow. Stella acknowledged this and hung up.
“If he doesn’t come back tonight, he must be entertaining Sophia, right?” Stella laughed bitterly at herself.
The night was bright and deep.
The banquet was held in a villa owned by Mrs. Reed. Crystal decorations adorned the trees around the club, making it seem as if stars from the sky had scattered.
The guests tonight were either wealthy or noble.
Just after eight o’clock in the evening, a luxurious car pulled up to the club, prompting staff to rush forward to welcome them.
Inside the car, Stella looked out the window calmly.
The staff opened the door respectfully, and RK stepped out first. He walked steadily to the other side and opened the door himself, extending his large hand to Stella.
RK’s palm was broad and strong, mirroring his tall and sturdy physique.
Stella gazed at his hand, then up at RK before finally placing her hand in his.
After she exited the car, the driver drove away.
Stella withdrew her hand from RK’s and wrapped her arm around his, closing the distance between them.
The lavish banquet hall buzzed with prominent figures from the business world.
As RK and Stella entered the club, a stir rippled through the crowd.
Since RK’s appearance in City X less than a month ago, he had become a well-known figure. His presence naturally attracted attention, and with his height and good looks, every move he made exuded calmness and maturity, causing rich girls to admire him and many men to feel inferior.
Stella rarely attended banquets, but it was common knowledge that the Richard family had not only a First Miss but also a Second Miss.
The attendees were astonished to see the Second Miss, who rarely appeared at such events, looking so enchanting tonight. Standing beside RK, they seemed like a match made in heaven.
Stella had always possessed unparalleled charm, and tonight, in her white evening dress, her delicate skin glowed, complemented by a light green leaf-shaped necklace on her collarbone, making her appear almost elfin.
“Rene, you’re finally here! I thought you weren’t going to introduce me to your beautiful wife,” an elegant, dignified woman approached RK and Stella, taking Stella’s hand and nodding repeatedly.
RK’s lips curled into a smile. “Since Aunt Reed expressed a desire to meet Stella, how could Rene disobey?” Stella guessed that RK was referring to the woman as “Mrs. Reed.”
Mrs. Reed seemed pleased with this response and looked at Stella warmly.
Having surmised that this was Mrs. Reed, Stella understood she was the host of the banquet.
With a smile, Stella addressed her softly, “Aunt Reed.”
Mrs. Reed nodded in satisfaction.
As the host, Mrs. Reed couldn’t linger in conversation with them forever, as many guests approached her to greet and pay their respects.
