Chapter 519:
🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙
After leaving the coffee shop, Stella didn’t want to return to the RK Mansion, but she didn’t know where to go. At that moment, her phone rang.
“Stella, where are you? Why aren’t you here today?”
“I’m outside right now. I’m on leave today, so I didn’t go.”
“Well, will you come back to college later?”
“No, I have something to do later.”
“Okay.” Damien’s disappointed voice reached Stella’s ears, but she felt a little uncomfortable now. She had not fully recovered from her illness and was feeling slightly dizzy.
“Yeah.” Stella hung up the phone and watched the cars passing by on the road, remembering what RK looked like last night.
Just as Stella was lost in thought, a horn suddenly blared in her ear. She looked over and saw RK inside the car.
Stella walked up to RK’s car and watched him through the window.
RK rolled down the window and said, “Get in the car.”
Stella opened the car door and climbed inside without saying a word.
RK glanced at the expressionless Stella, then turned to the driver and instructed him to drive. He lowered his head and focused on the documents in his hands.
When they arrived at the RK Mansion, the car came to a stop. After Stella got out, the car drove away.

Stella returned to the room where she had stayed the day she first arrived at the RK Mansion. She lay on the bed, feeling dazed.
RK was about to head back to his office when he received a phone call from Sophia, prompting the driver to drop him off at Sophia’s place.
“Rene, when will you divorce Stella? You promised that you would marry me.” Sophia looked at RK, who sat there, expecting to hear him say that he would divorce Stella immediately.
“I said I’d marry you, so I’ll marry you. You’re calling me here for this?” RK was displeased that Sophia had summoned him for such a matter.
Sophia sat beside RK and leaned her head on his shoulder, seeking his warmth. She believed he wouldn’t abandon her.
“Sophia, there’s something wrong with my company. I have to go there first. I’ll join you later.” After saying this, RK stood up.
Sophia nodded in response.
As RK walked out the door, he reflected on how Sophia had changed. She was different from before.
Sitting in the car, RK recalled Sophia’s words. She had claimed it was her fate to marry him, not Stella. According to her, Stella had heard about his wealth and begged their father to let her marry RK.
Sophia had called Stella a greedy woman who had always fought with her for things since childhood, insisting that Stella bullied her whenever she saw Sophia with something good to steal.
RK tried to push Sophia’s comments out of his mind and refocused on the documents in his hands. “Sophia, did RK agree to divorce Stella and marry you?” Isabella, who had called her, asked.
“Mom, do you think Rene won’t agree?”
“I’m sure he will agree. My daughter is much more beautiful than that little bitch. RK won’t want Stella unless he has no eyes.” Isabella covered her mouth and smiled.
“Mom, I don’t allow you to speak about Rene that way.”
“Fine, fine, fine. Mom was wrong…”
“Mom, I don’t want to talk to you anymore. I have something to do.” Sophia thought RK would come to her later, so she hurried to change her clothes and get ready.
“Well, go ahead and do your work.” After hanging up, Sophia dashed to her room to pick out an outfit.
This was the same house RK had bought for Sophia. In the blink of an eye, almost three years had passed since Stella and RK got married.
Sophia had not sought Stella out since her last visit. It seemed she had gone abroad and was sent out of the country by RK.
It was now summer, and the sun was scorching hot outside at noon. No one wanted to venture out.
Over the past few years, the relationship between Stella and RK had grown indifferent. Every month, RK would go abroad to spend a week with Sophia. During that week, Stella felt the most at ease, free from the need to interact with RK.
In the past three years, Stella’s feelings for RK had become increasingly unclear. RK treated her with neither warmth nor coldness.
It was only during the winter vacation of their first year that Damien had come back, but he hadn’t returned since.
Tristan, on the other hand, had never come back.
That night, the starlight shone brightly, and the atmosphere was lively. A man and a woman dressed to the nines could be seen everywhere. The men appeared gallant, while the women looked beautiful and captivating. From a distance, the brilliant lights on the yacht illuminated the blue night sky, which was as velvety as the heavens above the star tower.
The dinner party was hosted by Kevin Wilson, a figure in the business world. The guests invited were prominent entrepreneurs, all with extraordinary backgrounds.
In the luxurious banquet hall, everyone present was either wealthy or a famous entrepreneur, all boasting remarkable connections.
As Stella followed RK into the venue, a stir erupted. The rich young ladies cast admiring glances at the handsome and poised RK.
Meanwhile, others openly stared at Stella, envious that RK had such a beautiful wife, one he rarely brought out.
A black dress, tailored unconventionally, highlighted Stella’s delicate skin. It was adorned with a thin layer of gauze.
The wide belt inlaid with black pearls and the neckline decorated with bright diamonds delicately accentuated her figure. Stella undoubtedly became the center of attention that night.
“Rene, you’re here!”
When Kevin, in his thirties, spotted RK entering the banquet hall, he quickly approached and shook his hand.
“President Wilson, long time no see.” RK greeted him.
“It’s been a while. Rene, can we talk over there?” Kevin suggested, glancing at RK.
“Okay, President Wilson. Please.” RK followed Kevin to a quieter area, leaving Stella alone.
Stella wandered to a corner of the banquet hall like a solitary butterfly.
“Hey, look, isn’t she the Second Miss of the Richard Group?” A few well-dressed women stood behind Stella, sizing her up.
“It seems so. I remember a few years ago, Mr. Kingston took her to Mrs. Reed’s dinner party and never brought her out again. At that time, it seemed Mrs. Reed had asked her to attend. Otherwise, Mr. Kingston wouldn’t have taken her there.” One of them whispered.
“It appears that the Second Young Lady of the Richard family can’t capture Mr. Kingston’s heart at all! Hey… Look, Mr. Kingston is over there! He’s so handsome!”
The group of women instantly shifted their attention, as if they had seen honey.
At the same time, Stella observed RK not far away.
He held a wine glass elegantly, engaging in conversation with several entrepreneurs, a smile on his face. His tall and slender figure exuded a noble, kingly aura, reflecting a strong business presence. He was undoubtedly the center of attention among the socialites.
Stella sighed and lowered her eyes.
She had never liked attending such business parties.
