Chapter 541:
🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙
At Stella’s apartment…
“Well… Uncle Tristan’s dishes are delicious.” Adrian stuffed the food into his mouth as if he hadn’t eaten for days. Since Adrian had been taken to the Kingston family by RK, he hadn’t been able to eat or drink well. Now that he finally had a chance to reunite with Stella, he felt very happy to return to his former life!
During this time, he had figured out one thing: his father was no longer the same father he used to know. Uncle Tristan was the one who treated him the best!
Stella couldn’t help but feel helpless when she saw how affectionate Adrian was toward Tristan. Usually, when she cooked for this child, she never saw him show such appreciation.
“Don’t talk while you eat.”
Looking at Adrian, Stella’s eyes were filled with love. Adrian looked at Stella and snorted, ignoring her as he continued to eat.
“Adrian, if you like it, eat more.” Tristan looked at Adrian kindly.
Stella observed Tristan and felt very grateful. For so many years, regardless of what happened to her, Tristan had always been there. He had only gone abroad after she married RK, but after she left RK, Tristan returned. She knew how good he had been to her and Adrian over the years, but she felt it was unfair to Tristan.
Tristan noticed Stella lost in thought and smiled gently. He placed some food in Stella’s bowl, and she looked up at him.
When Stella saw the look in Tristan’s eyes, her face flushed, and she quickly lowered her head to eat. Adrian watched the exchange between Stella and Tristan, smiling happily.
After dinner, Stella washed some fruit, brought it to the living room, and went to the kitchen to wash the dishes.
“Uncle Tristan, did you see how she was watching you while we were eating? Darling just stared at you in a daze. Does that mean she accepts your kindness and has decided to be with you?” Adrian looked at Tristan, gossiping.

“Kid, don’t talk nonsense.” Tristan looked at Adrian with a serious expression, but the happiness in his eyes revealed how pleased he was. After all, for so many years, what he had hoped for most was that the woman in front of him would have feelings for him, instead of focusing her affections on another man.
Stella curled her lips and turned her attention to the TV.
Tristan remembered how Stella had looked at him earlier. He wondered if she had let go of the past and accepted him.
After washing the dishes, Stella witnessed a heartwarming scene.
Tristan and Adrian were sitting on the sofa watching TV. Tristan held Adrian with one arm, while Adrian leaned against Tristan. Adrian’s favorite cartoon was playing on the TV, and Tristan watched it with genuine interest.
Stella felt that this was the simple life she had always wanted, but she wished it was with someone else, someone like her brother. Although she appreciated all that Tristan had done for her in recent years, she couldn’t overcome that mental barrier.
“Darling, come here.” Adrian noticed Stella standing behind the sofa and waved at her, inviting her to sit down beside him.
“Adrian, it’s getting late. You should go to bed, and it’s time for your Uncle Tristan to go home.” Stella looked at Adrian and pointed at the clock on the wall. Adrian pouted, but when he saw Tristan beside him, he immediately complied.
“I’m going to rest. I’ll leave Uncle Tristan to you. Good night, Uncle Tristan. Good night, Darling.” After saying this, Adrian hurriedly ran back to his room.
Stella, left in the living room, felt awkward.
During this time, her little brat had been trying to push her and Tristan together, something Stella had already figured out!
“Brother Tristan, let me see you off.”
Stella looked at Tristan, who was standing up, with an unnatural expression on her face.
“Yes.” Tristan smiled at Stella, understanding Adrian’s intentions.
After going downstairs, Stella was about to turn around and head home when she bumped into Emily, who had just returned.
“Emily is back. Stella, can you walk with me?”
Tristan looked at Emily and smiled gratefully.
“Ah! Yes, it’s late. Go back with Brother Tristan. I’ll go up and help Adrian take a shower.”
Seeing Tristan’s gaze, Emily understood what he wanted to do. She immediately walked forward, pushed Stella toward Tristan, and ran upstairs.
Since RK had left the city, Stella had been suffering for the past half a year. Now that she was finally regaining her normal self, how could her good friend not support her? Moreover, Emily had always hoped that Stella would be happy.
Stella suddenly felt that her best friend and son had tricked her.
“Let’s go, Stella.” Tristan looked into Stella’s eyes, making her unsure how to refuse. She could only nod.
No one knew how many laps they made around the community. Tristan remained silent, and Stella didn’t know what to say.
“Brother Tristan.”
“Stella.”
They spoke simultaneously. Tristan smiled, and Stella smiled awkwardly.
“Stella, go ahead.” Tristan looked at Stella, and the love in his eyes was evident.
“Nothing, I just want to thank you.” Stella met Tristan’s gaze, feeling immensely grateful for his kindness to her and Adrian over the years.
“You don’t have to thank me. You know that.” Tristan didn’t say it outright, but he knew that Stella understood what he needed from her.
