Chapter 543:
🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙
Stella went back to her room, washed up, and then lay on the bed. Thinking about what Tristan had just said and what RK had done, she felt as though her head might explode.
Stella forced herself to stop thinking about it. She slid under the quilt and tried to sleep. She had not gotten up in the morning and was awakened by a knock on the door.
“Who is it?” Stella got up and opened the door in a daze. As soon as she opened it, she saw Tristan standing there. Realizing she hadn’t washed up yet, she quickly closed the door.
Standing outside, Tristan recalled how confused Stella looked just moments ago and smiled. “Stella, it’s time to get up. I’ve made breakfast. I’ve washed up. Come and eat.”
When Stella heard Tristan’s words and the sound of his footsteps moving away, she felt embarrassed. She walked to the bedside and checked the alarm clock. It was already half past eight, and she realized she had slept in. Her face flushed red as she hurried to the bathroom to wash up.
After changing her clothes and washing up, Stella headed to the kitchen.
When Tristan saw her coming, he smiled and gestured for her to sit down for breakfast.
“Darling, it’s not good to wake up so late.” Adrian looked at Stella, who had just gotten up, and smiled.
Stella glanced at Adrian and sat down to eat. “Stella, you woke up a little late today…” Emily teased as she looked at her.
“Shut up. Don’t talk while you eat.” Stella met their smiling eyes and then glanced at Tristan with embarrassment.
“Well, hurry up and eat.” Looking at the shy Stella, Tristan felt a smile tugging at his lips because of Adrian and Emily.
After breakfast, Emily got ready to go out and find a job. Since she had resigned, she needed to find a new position. Stella decided to go with Emily, knowing she needed to support Adrian and couldn’t stay at home all the time.

“What about Little Rian, then?” Emily asked, glancing between Stella and Adrian.
“Go ahead, I will take care of Little Rian.” Tristan, who was standing nearby, spoke with a smile at Stella.
“Brother Tristan, you also have a job. It’s not good—” Stella felt guilty for troubling Tristan and couldn’t shake the feeling.
“It’s okay. I’m taking a rest today.” Tristan smiled at Stella, reassuring her to not worry.
“Darling, go and do your work. I’ll be fine with Uncle Tristan.” Adrian observed the adults and felt that they were all very troublesome.
“Brother Tristan, thank you. It’s time for Little Rian to go to school. I want to transfer him to another school.” Stella looked at Tristan and smiled, realizing it was time for Adrian to start school. Now that RK had regained his memory, he wouldn’t take Adrian away, but she still wanted to change his school.
Tristan nodded in agreement.
When Stella and Emily left the house, only Tristan and Adrian remained.
“Little Rian, where do you want to go? Uncle Tristan will take you there.” Tristan lifted Adrian into his arms and looked at him affectionately.
“Stella, are you not going to consider Tristan?” Emily asked Stella as they walked out the door.
Stella didn’t answer because she didn’t know how to respond.
“Ah… You know what Tristan has done for you over the years. I’ve seen it too. Little Rian likes Tristan very much. You should think about it.” Emily looked at Stella, knowing she was worried but believing that these matters could be resolved. Stella hadn’t accepted Tristan before because of RK. But now that she felt detached from RK, perhaps she could consider Tristan.
A ringing of a mobile phone interrupted Emily’s thoughts and also broke Stella’s contemplation.
Stella picked up her phone and glanced at the unfamiliar number. After thinking for a moment, she answered, “Sister-in-law, it’s Evan.”
Stella relayed the information to Emily and then headed to the place Evan mentioned. Although she had decided to forget about RK, she still valued her friendship with Evan and felt she should meet him.
Stella walked into the café and saw Evan sitting by the window. He waved when he noticed her.
Stella smiled at Evan as she approached.
“Sister-in-law, what would you like to have?” Evan looked at her, noticing how much she had changed over time. The most obvious difference was that she had lost a lot of weight.
“Just coffee,” Stella replied with a smile.
Evan called the waiter over and ordered a cup of coffee for Stella.
As they waited for the coffee, Stella and Evan fell into silence.
“Sister-in-law…”
“Evan, don’t call me that. I’m no longer your sister-in-law. Just call me Stella.” Stella interrupted before Evan could finish.
After all, she and RK had been divorced for many years. Even if they were still in touch, she could no longer be identified as RK’s wife.
Evan frowned, understanding the situation between Stella and RK. He replied, “Stella, are you sure it’s impossible between you and Rene?”
