Chapter 549:
🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙
Stella slept until noon. After washing up and coming out of her bedroom, she saw Emily sitting on the sofa, watching TV with snacks in her arms.
“Stella, you are awake! Just now, Tristan called to say that he took Little Rian out to eat and asked us to solve the lunch problem together.”
Emily glanced at Stella and then turned her eyes back to the TV. After all, the handsome guy on the screen had made Emily drool!
“Emily, I find that you are more and more of a fangirl now.” Stella watched Emily staring at the handsome guy on the TV and realized that she had become quite the fangirl.
“Alas… A beauty like you, with so many handsome men chasing after you, won’t understand my heart,” Emily replied, shaking her head while her eyes remained glued to the TV.
Stella shook her head helplessly and went to the kitchen to see if there was anything to prepare for lunch.
Emily continued to fixate on the handsome guy, showing no intention of moving.
“Don’t look at it. Let’s eat,” Stella called as she cooked some noodles. She tried to coax Emily over for lunch but soon realized that the girl had no interest in moving, so she had to eat alone.
Eventually, after finishing the show, Emily entered the kitchen to join Stella for a meal.
“Emily, I am going on a business trip on Monday, and Brother Tristan has something to do, so I will have to trouble you.” Stella looked at Emily, feeling concerned since she couldn’t take Adrian to school on Monday.
“Okay, don’t worry about handing him over,” Emily smiled at Stella.
In the evening, Tristan returned carrying a sleeping Adrian in his arms. Stella took Adrian from him and smiled at Tristan.

After settling Adrian down, Stella accompanied Tristan downstairs.
As Tristan was about to leave, Stella stopped him. “Brother Tristan, I’ve asked Emily to take Little Rian to school on Monday. If you have something to do that day, just go ahead.”
“Well, I will pick Little Rian up early after work. You can go on your business trip in peace. Emily and I will take good care of him,” Tristan replied with a smile, reaching out to hold Stella in his arms.
Stella subconsciously wanted to push Tristan away but thought better of it and didn’t.
“Stella, when you come back from your business trip, can you give me a chance?” Tristan’s deep voice reached Stella’s ears. She nodded subconsciously.
Perhaps it was because Tristan had cared for her during this time that she agreed without thinking. After all, Adrian still needed a father, and Tristan was the best choice for him.
Ever since she had lived with the Richard family, Tristan had always taken good care of her. Now, after so many years, their relationship had lasted over 20 years, and Stella only wanted to be at peace with him.
Tristan felt Stella nodding in his arms and happily picked her up, turning around twice. “Stella, I am waiting for you to come back.”
When Stella returned home, she still heard Tristan’s cheerful laughter and felt that he was waiting for her to come back.
Stella smiled unconsciously.
She poured herself a glass of water and walked to the window. When she noticed a car parked downstairs with RK leaning against it, she suddenly realized he must have seen Tristan pick her up.
Stella noticed the red embers on RK’s hands and knew he was smoking.
She quickly pulled the curtains, drank the water, placed the cup on the table, and returned to her room to sleep.
Seeing the scene just now, RK wanted to rush in and hug her, but he held back, not wanting Stella to hate him more.
RK took a deep drag on his cigarette. Perhaps it was too strong, as he choked and coughed violently.
Maybe it was because he ran into the sea yesterday and his clothes were still wet, but RK had driven to Stella’s house. He had a fever, and his throat was hoarse from coughing.
However, no matter the reason, RK knew that even if he fainted, Stella wouldn’t come to help him because she hated him.
“Little Rian, your Darling is on a business trip, and your Uncle Tristan is also busy, so it’s your Godmother’s turn to send you to school today.” Emily bent down and rubbed Adrian’s hair, which felt soft and fun.
“Aunt, if you keep rubbing my hair, my hairstyle will get messed up!” Adrian put his hand on his chest and looked up at Emily, who was much taller than him.
Emily smiled sheepishly and pulled her hand away. After sending Adrian to school, she said goodbye and left for work.
Emily checked her watch and realized she was about to be late. She hurriedly got in her car and drove to the company.
Stuck in traffic, Emily felt defeated, knowing she would likely be late. Just as she was about to turn into a lane, the car in front suddenly stopped, causing her to bump into it.
Sitting in her car, Emily was momentarily dazed, unsure of what to do.
Hearing a knock on her window, she snapped back to reality, quickly opened the door, and got out.
“Miss…”
“You are the young lady, and your whole family is the young lady,” Emily interrupted, looking at her beloved car, now with broken lights. She turned to see the car she had hit, and her calm demeanor evaporated.
