Chapter 56:.

That order attracted the attention of everyone in the room. In an instant, due to RK’s order, Stella became the center of everyone’s gaze. She stood, feeling the weight of many eyes fixed on her.
Stella felt very uncomfortable and frowned. She didn’t know what this man was thinking. It was clear he was here to pick up women, so why not do it? Why had he brought her along?
When they were in the office, he had lied to her, claiming he had to accompany her to a business meeting. A business meeting, my ass! Where was the meeting? He was just here to waste time!
What’s more, he had even taken away his rest time. How could he be so shameless?
As upset as Stella felt, she knew she could not afford to lose her temper in front of the man. She couldn’t compete with him; he had too much power, especially when everyone in the private room was his.
Stella returned to her seat and sat next to RK without saying a word, but she felt deeply aggrieved. However, because of RK’s words, everyone in the private room gave Stella a few more glances. Of course, they still treated her as RK’s secretary.
James, leaning lazily on the couch, rested his left hand on Tina’s shoulder and used his right to light a cigarette. He looked in Stella’s direction with a confused expression in his brown eyes. He joked, “René, your secretary is in a very bad mood. She even dares to challenge you.”
As James spoke, his eyes roamed Stella’s body. Today she was wearing a light sea-green knee-length dress that RK had bought her and ordered her to wear.
The sea green color combined with her long black hair and fair skin accentuated her slender, beautiful figure. Since they were in a private room, Stella had removed her black coat, exposing her two slender, slender arms. In the dim blue light, she looked beautiful and elegant.
RK did not respond to James’ comments. After his eyes briefly roamed Stella’s body, James continued, “Rene, your secretary is very pretty.” His words had a hidden meaning. In their circle, it was a subtle hint: if one complimented another’s secretary, it implied that the other party should keep her for himself.
Unexpectedly, however, the man sitting next to Stella merely replied faintly, “I know.” And that was all. He said nothing more.
Everyone in their circle got the hint, and they also knew what James meant. They didn’t expect RK to just reply “I know” and say nothing more.
James, thinking that perhaps his hint hadn’t been clear enough, picked up a glass of red wine from the table and said, “Hello, beautiful, how should I address you?”

“He doesn’t drink,” interrupted the man sitting next to Stella before she could respond.
As he was seated in the center, James extended his wine glass toward Stella and placed it on the table in front of RK. RK raised his hand slightly and handed the glass back to James.
With one hand holding a freshly lit cigarette and the other resting on the back of the couch, RK sat under the light blue light falling on him. He interjected, “Everyone knows he doesn’t drink.”
Everyone looked curiously at Stella. They all knew that RK didn’t talk much. He was a man of few words, especially when it came to his employees.
Usually, most bosses didn’t say anything. However, if RK was involved, it was different. What’s more, the president had even taken the initiative to speak up for Stella.
At the thought of their relationship, James awkwardly withdrew his hand. It was clear that he hadn’t originally considered it.
However, it was not entirely her fault for thinking so. In short, since the two had entered the room, they had barely spoken to each other. What’s more, when RK had been asked earlier, he had said that she was just a secretary. If the two were having an office romance, then why did they enter the room one after the other?
James forced a smile and said, “Rene, I didn’t know that. haha….. Sorry, I didn’t mean to offend you!”.
There was a saying that a friend’s wife was forbidden. Of course, the same applied between them. At first, they were just men who wanted to have fun, mostly because of the man’s identity.
After James spoke, the man took the initiative to speak on Stella’s behalf. In an instant, the meaning of his words changed. He would only speak for a woman he cared about.
If he didn’t care, as with Tina, he wouldn’t mind pushing her towards other men, letting her become a “shared” woman.
After that, RK didn’t react. He didn’t say whether it was okay or not. Moreover, it became even harder to discern her thoughts from her face.
No one knew whether he had taken the matter seriously or not. However, one thing was certain: now everyone in the private room was looking at Stella with an unusual gaze. It was as if there was some kind of relationship between her and RK.
