Chapter 628:
🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙
Stella had a mental struggle throughout the entire morning. She decided to get along well with RK in the future and stop hiding from him.
RK looked at Stella and reached out to hold her hand. Stella wanted to break free, but when she thought of what RK had said in the office that morning, she felt that if she broke free now, it would be like slapping him in the face.
RK anticipated that Stella would pull away from him. However, to his surprise, not only did she not break free, but she also held his hand.
“Stupid. If we don’t go eat now, I’m going to starve,” Stella said, looking at RK’s stunned expression. She suddenly realized it was fun. She pulled on his hand and took a step forward.
Hearing Stella’s words, RK’s face, which had been unchanged for thousands of years, broke into a smile as well. He let Stella pull him away.
The whole office fell silent when RK came over. To be honest, they were doubtful in the morning. After all, RK had only been with Stella before, but they had never been so close. Their appearance just now shattered any hope they had; the single president had a girlfriend.
When they arrived at the company’s entrance, Stella wanted to let go of his hand, but RK held on tight and didn’t let it go. Stella had no choice but to let RK hold her hand.
“What are we going to eat?” Usually, it was the secretary who ordered RK’s lunch at noon. He rarely went out to eat, so he suddenly didn’t know what to eat with Stella.
“It doesn’t matter,” Stella replied. Anyway, she wasn’t picky about food as long as it didn’t taste bad.
Hearing Stella’s words, RK took her directly to a restaurant where he had been before. He thought it was a good place. Stella and RK had just finished ordering when Stella suddenly felt as if someone was calling her name.
“Stella.” The person called out again. Stella confirmed the direction of the voice and looked over.
“Alice.” Stella recognized Alice, who was walking toward her. She remembered that the last time she saw Alice, she was still sitting in a wheelchair.
“Yeah, I thought I saw it wrong. I didn’t expect it to be you! Are you out for lunch?” Although Alice was talking to Stella, her eyes were fixed on RK. RK, however, acted as if he didn’t see her at all; his gaze remained on Stella.

“Well, are your legs healed?” Stella asked. She didn’t know why Alice had been in a wheelchair, but she was happy for her that she could stand now.
“Well, thank you.” Alice smiled at Stella. To be honest, she had already recovered when she saw Seventeen, but she couldn’t stand for long at that time, so she had been sitting in a wheelchair all the time. It had been a long time since then.
“Yes,” Stella replied, unsure of what to say to Alice. Sometimes she felt that Alice was against her, but other times, she thought she was overthinking things.
“Who is this?” Alice pointed to RK, who was sitting opposite Stella, and asked. She had seen RK and Stella talking in the coffee shop before, but she didn’t know their relationship.
“Stella?” Before Stella could answer Alice’s question, she heard a familiar voice.
“Brother Tristan.” Stella smiled at Tristan. To be honest, the moment she saw Alice, she should have guessed that Tristan was also there.
“Well, are you here for lunch?” Tristan had just parked the car when he saw Alice standing there. When he walked in, he found Alice talking to Stella.
“Yes.” Stella kept smiling, but those who knew her well could see that it was not a genuine smile but just a courtesy.
“Tristan, the car is parked,” Alice said, looking at Tristan as he walked in, and she subconsciously reached for his arm. However, the expression on her face did not change at all.
“Stella, do you mind if we sit here and eat with you guys?” Alice asked Stella, as if she had made a big mistake. Stella nodded; she didn’t mind having two more people to eat with them.
Tristan and Alice sat down, but RK didn’t say anything. After they settled, they called the waiter.
Tristan looked at Stella, hoping she would ask about his relationship with Alice so he could explain it to her. However, Stella seemed not to notice, and the hope in his eyes faded. She just pushed the steak in front of RK.
RK looked at the extra steak in front of him and didn’t say anything. He simply picked up his knife and fork and cut it into small pieces for Stella. He was very happy; at least Stella still remembered him at this moment.
Stella wouldn’t say that she didn’t do it on purpose. She ate the salad in front of her and smiled sheepishly at Alice, as if it was normal, but she felt too embarrassed to ask RK to do it in front of others.
Alice also smiled and said nothing, as if she didn’t see Stella’s embarrassment.
