Chapter 629:
🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙
Alice went to the bathroom, leaving Stella in an already awkward atmosphere that became even more uncomfortable. RK didn’t seem to feel anything at all; he even helped Stella wipe food from her mouth.
Stella smiled awkwardly. RK wouldn’t admit that he did it on purpose.
“Stella, Tristan wanted to explain about Alice,” he said, but he didn’t know how to start when he saw Stella and RK together as they were before.
“Huh? Alice? She’s fine,” Stella replied with a smile, pretending not to understand what Tristan wanted to explain. When she first saw Alice, she had been waiting for Tristan to explain, especially since he was her boyfriend.
After waiting for so long, Tristan hadn’t come to explain anything. Gradually, Stella thought it through; even if Tristan had been with her before, something had happened with Adrian, and Tristan had left. At that time, Stella realized that she and Tristan couldn’t be together.
Tristan opened his mouth, but he didn’t know what to say. However, there was no chance to speak because Alice had returned.
“Let’s go back first, or we’ll be late.” Stella stood up and smiled at Alice. Although no one dared to say anything to her, even if she didn’t go to work in the afternoon, she didn’t want to be with them anymore. She felt that she couldn’t digest what she had just eaten.
“Well, I will invite you to dinner together another day,” Alice said before Tristan could speak.
Stella nodded. She took RK’s hand and looked at him. RK didn’t say anything; he just nodded at Tristan and left with Stella.
“Are you unhappy?” As soon as they walked out of the restaurant, Stella let go of RK’s hand. RK didn’t respond.
“No.” Stella smiled at RK but didn’t stop. She and RK walked together as they made their way back to the company. RK just stood there, looking at Stella. No one knew what he was thinking.
To be honest, it was a lie for Stella to say she had no feelings for Tristan. After all, for so many years, whenever something happened to Stella, Tristan would be the first to arrive. But now, because of a woman, he kept leaving Stella behind, which made her feel very uncomfortable.
RK caught up with Stella after a couple of steps. He held her hand and said nothing. Stella didn’t break free from RK’s grip and allowed him to hold her hand.

In the afternoon, Stella wasn’t in the mood to work. She sat on the office chair, her whole body lying on the table, and no one knew what she was thinking.
Manager Bailey came out several times, but he didn’t dare to say anything when he saw Stella like this. Even if Stella didn’t do anything in the company, he didn’t want to say anything. Although he wasn’t there in the morning, he knew what had happened. Stella was RK’s wife, and with that, no one in the company dared to make trouble for her.
When RK heard Miriam tell him about Stella’s situation, he nodded and let her go. He knew that Stella was unhappy now, but he couldn’t say anything. After all, this was Stella’s business; she had to figure it out herself.
Stella spent the whole afternoon in a daze. She even left before it was time to get off work, and RK didn’t say anything.
Stella arrived at Adrian’s school. Adrian hadn’t finished class yet, and there was still a lesson to go. Stella thought about it and went to Seventeen’s office.
Stella knocked on the door. It wasn’t until someone said “come in” that she pushed the door open and entered.
“Hello, I’m Adrian’s mother.” Stella wasn’t sure if Seventeen had forgotten who she was, especially since he seemed to greet everyone with the same expression. Who knew if he would recognize her?
“Hello, I know. Please sit down.” Seventeen looked at Stella and said. He couldn’t figure out why she was there.
Stella sat down on the sofa. Seventeen didn’t seem to care that there was another person in the office and continued with his work.
Stella didn’t say anything. After all, she knew that Adrian was very smart and obedient. Even if something happened to him, Seventeen, as her neighbor and Adrian’s teacher, should tell her.
To be honest, Seventeen was thinking, “Fortunately, I gave Adrian a day off today and didn’t need to do any training. Otherwise, I wouldn’t be sitting in the office waiting for him to finish school.”
In recent days, he had been the one teaching Adrian the last lesson. Some time ago, because Adrian was too tired, Seventeen had given him a day off today. Otherwise, if Stella came here now, not only would she not see Seventeen, but she also wouldn’t be able to see Adrian because he wouldn’t be training at school.
The time for class passed very quickly. Stella was sitting in Seventeen’s office. During this time, she only talked to him when she came in; she didn’t say a word after that.
“Uncle Seventeen!” Adrian ran to Seventeen’s office after class. He was used to it, so he directly pushed the door open and came in.
“Adrian!”
Because Adrian was only focused on Seventeen, he didn’t notice Stella sitting on the sofa at all.
