Chapter 689:.
Shortly after Stella and the others finished breakfast, someone came to the house.
“Damien, do you still remember how to find us? I thought you forgot about us,” Emily said, quickly getting up when she saw the approaching person.
Stella got up too, but she wasn’t as excited as Emily. She walked over to Damien with a quiet smile.
“Stella, sister Emily, long time no see!” Damien said, and seeing them, he hugged them tightly. The corners of his eyes were slightly moist.
Ruben narrowed his eyes, watching as Damien hugged Emily. His expression hardened, and he couldn’t help but feel uncomfortable.
RK didn’t pay much attention to the situation. Although he didn’t like Damien hugging Stella, he knew it was a moment of reunion and watched calmly.
Adrian, for his part, watched Damien curiously. He hadn’t expected Stella to have friends other than Emily.
Damien, with a smile, turned to RK and Ruben, squeezing Stella and Emily a little tighter in his arms.
Ruben couldn’t take it anymore. He walked toward them and, without hesitation, pulled Damien away from Emily and hugged her himself.
Wayne, who was watching the scene from the doorway, raised an eyebrow. He had heard about Stella and Emily from Damien, but had never met them in person.
“You’re Damien Roy,” Ruben said, squinting, looking askance at Damien. He couldn’t remember if he had ever seen him before.
“Yes,” Damien replied with a smile, looking at Ruben.
“Huh!” Ruben walked over to the couch with Emily in his arms, as a clear gesture that Emily was his. He didn’t care what relationship might have existed between Damien and her in the past.
“Just like before,” Damien murmured as he put his hand on Stella’s shoulder, walking toward the couch, oblivious to Wayne following him.
“We met before?” Ruben looked at Damien, confused by his attitude and words.

“Are you Stella’s son? What’s your name?” Damien asked, touching Adrian’s hair and looking at him with interest.
“My name is Ryan Kingston. You can call me Adrian,” Adrian replied with a smile, feeling sympathy for Damien. He had always appreciated the people Stella considered important.
“Adrian, good name. You can call me Uncle Damien,” Damien replied delightedly, giving Adrian a kiss on the cheek.
Unnoticed, Wayne, who was standing in the doorway, watched with his face growing darker and darker.
RK nodded toward Wayne, who was still standing in the doorway, but said nothing. Instead, he lifted Stella in his arms and watched the scene silently.
“Hey, are you ignoring me?” Ruben said, feeling frustrated. He looked at Damien with the intention of confronting him.
“I can hear you, don’t yell so loud,” Damien replied nonchalantly, rubbing his ears and looking at Ruben with disdain.
Ruben was about to speak, but Emily stopped him. She didn’t want the situation to become more awkward than it already was. She didn’t know Damien too well, but she knew there was something about his attitude that she didn’t like.
“Well, don’t stir up any more trouble. Damien, why did you come back all of a sudden?” Stella asked, looking at Damien curiously. She was happy to see him, but wondered what had motivated him to come back.
“Wayne brought me back. Huh? Where’s Wayne?” Damien looked around, searching for Wayne, who had not yet approached.
“Wayne, why are you still standing there, don’t you get tired?” Damien asked, looking at Wayne curiously.
Wayne, his expression darker than ever, finally got up, walked over to Damien and sat down next to him.
“You little prick,” Wayne muttered as he smacked him upside the head. It seemed his patience was wearing thin.
“The more you hit my head, the more of an idiot I’ll become,” Damien replied, covering his head with his hands and looking at Wayne with annoyance, as he didn’t fully understand what was going on.
“Look at you, you’re living right now. No wonder you forgot about Stella and me,” Emily commented with a wry smile, looking at both Damien and Wayne. She hadn’t expected them to be together like that.
“I didn’t forget them,” Damien quickly replied, but didn’t explain why he hadn’t been in touch with them for so long.
Stella looked at Emily and then at Wayne and Damien, not sure what Emily was referring to. What was clear was that it wasn’t about what it seemed at first glance.
Ruben had been watching Damien the whole time. Although he looked familiar, he couldn’t remember where he had seen him before.
He realized that he had never met Wayne. If he had, he wouldn’t have forgotten him so easily. But Damien, he had definitely seen before.
He had no animosity toward Damien, but now that Stella and he had become so close, Reuben couldn’t help but feel a little jealous.
Adrian and Seventeen, who were chatting in the corner, watched the scene curiously, but knew better not to intervene for now.
“Sister Emily, when did your taste become so bad that you fell in love with him?” Damien said, pointing to Reuben and referring to Emily’s relationship with him. He couldn’t help but feel some annoyance at how Stella and Emily had married the Kingston brothers .
