Chapter 690:
“What do you mean she has bad taste when she liked it? If he liked it, it means he had good taste,” Emily replied firmly. Just as she was about to continue speaking, she stopped as she noticed Reuben’s imposing gaze, which stunned her.
“Idiot,” Emily said to Ruben, not wanting to admit that she didn’t know this person as well as she thought she did.
“Emily,” Ruben said, placing his hand on her shoulder and looking at her with an expression full of discomfort. He seemed to be silently complaining about Emily not supporting him and being so enthusiastic about a stranger.
“Adrian, don’t waste your time with this block of ice. He doesn’t care about you,” Damien commented with a smirk, pointing at Seventeen, as he turned to Adrian.
Ruben, seeing Damien’s attitude, was delighted – why would Damien talk about Seventeen like that in front of Adrian? It was clear that there was a good show to come.
Adrian smiled at Damien’s provocation, but said nothing, just watched him.
Damien flinched a little at Adrian’s look and then sat down next to Wayne. He didn’t understand why Adrian was smiling like that, but that smile didn’t make him feel any good.
Wayne, noticing the interaction, slipped his arm around Damien’s shoulder and was preparing to talk to him, but suddenly he saw the watch on Adrian’s wrist. He froze for a moment, but soon regained his composure.
Ruben, however, saw Wayne’s reaction and watched carefully. Although he had only greeted Wayne briefly, it seemed that Wayne knew that watch. After all, Seventeen was the one who had given that watch to Adrian.
“Good boy, you’re big, and little Rian is just a kid. Wouldn’t it be better if you two chatted?” Wayne said, rubbing Damien’s hair in a playful manner.
Hearing this, Damien suddenly felt it made sense, and nodded, grateful for the advice.
Wayne looked at Damien with a mischievous grin.
“Damien, when are you leaving? Stella and I are getting married in a month, do you want to join us?” Emily, watching the interaction between Wayne and Damien, smiled secretly. She then turned to Damien and asked.

Hearing Emily’s words, Damien unconsciously looked toward Wayne.
Wayne, seeing Damien’s reaction, felt even prouder. He tapped Damien’s hair before turning his gaze back to Emily.
“We’re leaving tomorrow. We have some business to attend to, so we can’t stay long. But I promise I’ll bring him back for your wedding,” Wayne said, knowing Damien wanted to stay, but still had unfinished business.
Emily nodded, saying nothing more.
“Stella, when the time comes, I will definitely be back to attend. I want to be your best man!” Damien said excitedly. He remembered the last time Stella was married, when he was unable to attend, and he was determined to be there this time. Despite everything that had changed, the most important thing was that he now had Wayne.
Stella nodded, noting how much Damien had grown. Regardless, if Damien was happy, that was the most important thing to her.
“Damien, you only remember Stella, you don’t remember me, do you?” Emily asked, smiling playfully.
“Hehe, how could I forget you, I’d never forget sister Emily!” Damien replied with a silly grin, as if he was complimenting Emily.
“Damien Roy… Rene, does our family have any relatives named Roy and a boy named Damien?”
Ruben suddenly spoke in a loud voice as he looked at RK.
Emily, sitting next to Ruben, was startled, but reacting, she smiled somewhat dismissively.
“Stupid!” RK said to Ruben in a joking tone and then took Stella by the hand, walking up the stairs.
“Who are you calling an idiot? Why are you going upstairs now?” Ruben asked, looking at RK’s back. He wanted to get up to stop him, but Emily stopped him with a gesture.
RK, without responding, simply watched Stella. He knew she was not in her best state, probably because she had slept late the day before and had woken up too early that day. No doubt, she was tired.
“Cousin, you finally remember you have a cousin named Damien!” Damien exclaimed, looking at Ruben with a smile.
“Humph,” Ruben turned his head, ignoring Damien. He felt a little embarrassed about what he had said earlier, thinking about how foolish he had been.
“Sister Emily, do you have a guest room? Wayne and I got up early today, and I’m a little tired,” Damien commented, looking at Emily flatteringly.
“Yes, I’ll take you upstairs,” Emily nodded and, without waiting for Ruben, started up the stairs.
Ruben, thinking about what had happened earlier, didn’t want to see Damien, so he opted to sit near Seventeen and said nothing more.
“Big Uncle, do you want to compete with me for Uncle Seventeen?” Adrian asked with a smile as he looked at Reuben, who seemed to have lost all interest in the conversation.
Seventeen nodded slightly. No matter what Adrian said, he was right, but something in her face changed when she noticed Wayne’s expression. Did he even know anything else?
