Nora returned after the phone call and found the atmosphere around Morris and Brenda a little strange.

Next to her, Lily said, “This is Anti, the renowned surgeon and cornerstone of the Alternative Medicine Association. Identifying medical symptoms is as easy as ABC for her. Faking illness is meaningless in front of her, Mrs. Robinson.”

Mrs. Robinson was Marcus’ mother.

Lily had avoided referring to her as Marcus’ mother, as she felt the term of address would sadden her even more.
