The last few weeks Eduardo had always been by her side, he gave her flowers, complimented her, accompanied her to dinner, waited for her to finish work to take her home and although he had never formalized anything she felt they had some kind of relationship.

She didn’t want something like this to end before it started, especially not because of Tobias. As she debated on what to say Edward shot Tobias a murderous look.

“It seems to me that I am well within my rights, since you are harassing my girlfriend, I thought I heard very clearly when I was arriving that Beatriz told you that she didn’t want to see you again, but here you are still bothering her, since you won’t listen to her I am forced to intervene, Beatriz is now with me and I will not allow you to disturb her tranquility, so I advise you to stay away from my girlfriend or things are not going to end well for you.”

Tobias looked at Beatriz and then at Eduardo trying to decipher if what she was saying was true, he was about to open his mouth to say something, but she was faster, she took Eduardo by the hand and told him while walking.

“Come on it’s not worth it.”

Tobias finally left giving himself up for defeated while Beatriz and Eduardo entered the place, but before arriving with his friends Beatriz stopped, she stood in front of Eduardo and looked him in the eyes.

“You have nothing to thank that was nothing.

“I don’t thank you for that, I thank you for being by my side, for giving me my time and having patience, I know that maybe you heard what we talked about but I want you to know that I don’t feel anything for him anymore and the only person I want by my side is you.”

Eduardo smiled and hugged her.

“Thanks to you for giving me this opportunity, I will try to make you happy”.

The new couple kissed, and then went inside to join their friends holding hands. Martin saw them and made jokes about the last soldier shutting up, he warned Edward to run and run away, he was still on time or he would soon be doomed like him, Emily made a face and threatened him to repeat that, but Martin changed the sentence and congratulated him telling him that a future full of happiness and joy awaited him, just like what he and Hugo were experiencing.

They all laughed and enjoyed the evening together.

Sara looked around and was glad to have so many friends, she took her husband’s hand and smiled, what had started as a simple agreement had evolved into this beautiful relationship, they had agreed a year to divorce, but destiny had other plans and they ended up falling in love and forming a family.
