Chapter 471:
🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙
Richard furrowed his brow and spoke with authority. “Mr. Dayton, I’ve been in the medical field for years. Do you really think I can’t distinguish real data from fabricated? I’ve double-checked it; these results are precise and without error. If you have doubts, feel free to have other experts review it.”
With a derisive snort, Richard returned to his seat. It was then that Conroy realized Richard was not someone he could control with a snap of his fingers. Cold sweat broke out across his forehead, his face draining of color as he fought to steady himself.
Conroy turned toward the screen, his lips quivering. He never expected his plan to destroy Khloe to backfire so disastrously, leaving him utterly humiliated. The conference hall hummed with excitement. The unveiling of such crucial data was a first, causing the crowd to snap photos and record the event.
However, Khloe remained calm and addressed Conroy coldly. “Mr. Dayton, the trial data for the K Agent clearly shows no side effects and even lowers the cost of similar drugs. Why did the drug administration under your watch overlook such a cost-effective solution? Are you profiting personally, or is there some kind of collusion at play?”
Khloe’s biting words left him speechless, his face draining of color as he could find no defense, fully aware of his own guilty motives.
The crowd exchanged wary looks, their suspicion now directed at Conroy. Just as Conroy found himself cornered, a sudden, deafening sonic boom rang out from outside, sounding like a thunderclap.
The ceiling window slowly slid open, and a helicopter came into view, touching down on the roof. The roar of the chopper above drowned out everything else as its large blades whipped the air, causing those nearby to squint and cover their eyes.
A figure in a form-fitting white combat suit, wearing a shiny, metallic mask, descended smoothly from a rope ladder.
The crowd watched as the tall woman landed with a commanding presence.
Her first words, cold and pointed, were aimed at Khloe. “The decision to ban the K Agent was proposed by my teacher. What right do you, an unknown in the medical field, have to challenge it? Even if you have data from ten thousand people, it won’t alter the regulations!”

Khloe fixed her gaze on the woman who had entered with aggression, her expression cold. “Who is your teacher, and what authority does he have to dictate the fate of the K Agent with mere words? Medical progress should not be held back by self-proclaimed authority. The data clearly shows the potential and value of the K Agent. Are we really going to shatter the hopes of countless patients just because of what your teacher says?”
The woman’s eyes narrowed through her mask, giving off a cold vibe. “Yes, I can assert that. Listen closely! My teacher is the renowned Magician, the greatest doctor in the world!”
The mention of “Magician” caused a stir throughout the hall, sparking excitement and murmurs among the crowd.
“Magician? He’s a legend!”
“I’ve heard he’s so elusive and skilled that he can revive the dead with his medical skills. His opinions are indeed influential.”
“She’s Magician’s student? This is the first known student of Magician!”
“Being trained by such a legendary figure, her medical abilities must be impressive. It would be interesting to see her demonstrate them.”
Even Charlotte and Sylvie were shocked to hear Magician’s name. Given Magician’s formidable reputation, their surprise was understandable.
Despite the growing admiration and respect from the audience, the woman kept her composure, looking down at Khloe with a subtle hint of superiority. “My teacher is an icon in the medical field. His insights surpass what you can grasp. It’s not your fault you don’t understand, but now that I’ve explained, you should realize your data is irrelevant. Move aside. You’re not qualified to challenge the new medical regulation.”
Encouraged by the woman’s support, Conroy abandoned his earlier embarrassment and exclaimed confidently, “Khloe, did you hear that? This lady, Artist, is Magician’s student. The changes in medical regulations were based on Magician’s instructions. I’m acting for the nation’s safety, not for personal gain as you implied!”
