Chapter 472:
At this point, nearly everyone in the hall was convinced by Conroy and the woman known as Artist. Yet, Khloe stood apart, her expression a mix of disbelief and sarcasm.
Conroy and this woman were clearly underestimating her intelligence.
After all, Khloe herself was Magician!
She had no recollection of ever taking this woman on as a student.
It was absurd to think this woman was using Khloe’s alter ego to confront her. Furthermore, something about this woman felt eerily familiar to Khloe, as though they had met somewhere before.
Before Khloe could address the woman’s claims, Richard, bursting with excitement, approached her cautiously and asked, “Are you truly Magician’s student? Could you bring Magician here?”
The woman paused, noting Richard’s eagerness, then responded kindly, “Sir, my teacher is currently in a remote area collecting herbs for a new medicine, making him difficult to reach. However, he will be available once he returns. Meanwhile, feel free to ask me any questions; I’m well aware of his activities.”
Richard was visibly shaken with anticipation, seeing a new hope for his cancer research with the presence of Magician’s student.
“I am the honorary president of Ouiswell University! I have some pressing medical inquiries that need your teacher’s expertise. Please, arrange a meeting with him!”
Artist nodded. “Of course, I’ll help. But first, let’s discuss Mr. Dayton’s concern. The decision to ban the K Agent was directed by my teacher, and I must enforce his decision.”
Richard then said to Khloe, “Although your data is accurate, Magician must have sound reasons for his directive. Please, cease this disruption! Persisting could risk public health and safety.”
Khloe nearly burst out laughing from frustration.

These individuals were exploiting Magician’s name to undermine her efforts without verifying if these directives were genuinely from Magician.
Trapped by her secret identity as Magician, Khloe knew revealing this wouldn’t change their minds.
However, this didn’t mean she was powerless. She stood with a stoic expression, her eyes darkening, her lips curling into a frosty smile. “You claim to be Magician’s student. Can anyone verify that? After all, Magician’s true identity is unknown, isn’t it? As a doctor, my responsibility is to pursue treatments that benefit patients. If you intend to stop me, you must provide a solid justification, not merely leverage your teacher’s reputation.”
Artist’s eyes narrowed, her gaze chilling as she stared at Khloe through her mask. “So, what would convince you?”
Khloe said, “Let’s settle this with a medical showdown. If you win, I will cease all mention of the K Agent. But if you lose, I’m sorry, but you’ll have to leave!”
Artist took a brief pause before releasing a chilling laugh. “You think you can compete with me in medical expertise? You’re in way over your head.”
Khloe held her gaze without flinching, her eyes burning with resolve. “What, are you scared?”
Just then, Clinton moved forward, his expression tinged with worry. “Khloe, are you sure about challenging Magician’s student? Going against Magician’s wishes could put the reputation of the Oasis Laboratory in serious danger.”
Khloe turned to face Clinton, her voice cold and firm. “I won’t believe in any of the so-called ‘wishes’ of his until I meet Magician in person. I trust only what I can see and hear for myself, and my own judgment. I have to be part of this competition.”
Her firm stance set off a wave of murmurs among the onlookers. Most bets were on Artist, considering Magician’s fame as the top medical expert worldwide. His student was expected to easily outshine Khloe.
Artist, noticing Khloe’s determination, smirked condescendingly. “Alright, if you’re that set on this, I’ll give you what you want. But if you lose, you’ll not only stay silent about this but leave the city and never practice medicine again. That’s the penalty for questioning my teacher.”
