Chapter 515:
🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙
“Support finishing five kilometers in half an hour. Everyone should be held accountable for what they say and do!”
“At last, someone’s standing up to Giuliana! She’s always been so full of herself, pushing around newcomers and younger people. Because of her seniority, no one dared to speak up. Honestly, watching her get punished feels so satisfying.”
“A bet’s a bet—it has to be honored. Otherwise, people will think they can say whatever they want and face no consequences. Verbal abuse is bullying too, after all!”
Those who didn’t like Khloe took the chance to speak out. “Isn’t this a bit much? Did you see how bad Giuliana and Sloane looked?”
“Sloane’s Khloe’s sister, right? Sometimes it’s better to just let things slide. Khloe can be so cold-hearted!”
At that instant, Khloe’s lips parted just enough to speak. “If you don’t want to run five kilometers in thirty minutes, then…” She let the words hang in the air, waiting.
Giuliana, unable to hold back, shot back, “Then what? Finish what you were going to say!”
“As Giuliana suggested before, kneel and apologize.” Khloe’s voice remained casual, but her words hung heavy in the air, sending a ripple of silence through the room.
She was truly daring with her demands.
“Khloe! You’re really pushing it now!” Giuliana’s face burned with humiliation at the thought of kneeling and apologizing. Her eyes blazed with fury.
“Wasn’t it you who asked the same of me?” Khloe replied coolly. “You set up the bet, the stakes, and the penalty for losing. Why can’t you follow through?” Khloe’s eyes turned frosty as she locked her gaze on Giuliana. “You have two choices: run the five kilometers in thirty minutes or kneel and apologize to me. There’s no middle ground.”
The tension thickened in the air, and Sloane leaned in, covering the microphone before speaking to Giuliana. “Maybe you should just take the second option. You’re not going to manage ten kilometers, and you know how crazy Rafael’s fans can get. If he gets worn out after running and collapses, they’ll rip you apart. Maybe it’s better to make a small sacrifice.”

Sloane shuddered at the thought of running five kilometers, let alone another five within thirty minutes. She didn’t want to end up in such a miserable state, and honestly, Giuliana’s pride wasn’t her problem. It wasn’t Sloane’s dignity on the line. But unable to speak it out, she brought Rafael into the conversation.
Giuliana’s face drained of color. Sloane’s point hit home—Rafael had a huge following of female fans, and if anything happened to him after running all those kilometers, she’d have a legion of angry fans coming for her.
Giuliana’s eyes filled with anger as she stared fiercely at Khloe. “Khloe, are you really going to be this cruel?”
Khloe arched an eyebrow. “You call this cruel? Want to see what true ruthlessness is?”
Giuliana’s anger made her tremble, but the fear of what Khloe might ask next kept her quiet. Through gritted teeth, she forced out, “Fine, I’ll kneel!”
She shot Khloe a venomous glare, silently begging her to call it off, but Khloe crossed her arms and said, “Go on, kneel.”
Giuliana’s face turned bright red with rage. Taking a deep breath, she dropped to her knees with a heavy thud, her voice sharp and forced. “Khloe, I’m really sorry…”
“I didn’t quite catch that.” Khloe pretended to adjust her ear, eyeing Giuliana with cool indifference. “An apology should have the right tone.” She wasn’t concerned about offending Giuliana—not in the slightest.
Since the moment they’d arrived on the island, Giuliana had been targeting her, probably instigated by Sloane. But with Giuliana’s petty, vindictive nature, it was clear they would never see eye to eye.
And now that the fight had started, Khloe wasn’t about to back down. She intended to see it through to the end.
