Chapter 600:
Rafael, the male lead of Peaks of Eternity, and Adele, a supporting actress, joined Khloe on the red carpet shortly after.
Adele turned to Khloe with a warm smile, gratitude evident in her eyes. “Khloe, I can’t thank you enough for what you did during Stranded Deep. During the wolf attack, you stepped in to provide medical aid, speeding up our recovery.”
Even after filming ended, she sent healing ointments to both Adele and Rafael, ensuring they healed without scars. After all, scars could have permanently jeopardized their acting careers.
“It was no trouble. Just a little help,” Khloe responded with a soft laugh. To her, Rafael and Adele were among her closest friends, and she would never hesitate to help them.
Rafael’s lips curved into a slight smile. “Even if it was just a little help, we owe you our thanks.”
Khloe shook her head lightly, letting the conversation drop.
They reached the end of the red carpet, where the host awaited them with a microphone in hand. With practiced charisma, the host asked them about their thoughts on the show before inviting them to sign their names on the event board. Only after that were they guided into the venue of the awards.
Khloe, Rafael, and Adele, representing the Peaks of Eternity production, were naturally seated side by side.
Moments later, the ceremony officially began, the air inside buzzing with excitement.
The host’s voice rang out, vibrant with energy. “Now, let’s welcome the winner of this year’s Best Screenplay Award—Khloe Evans!” A stunned silence fell over the audience.
The live chat froze momentarily before erupting in disbelief.

“Did they just say Khloe won the Best Screenplay? This has to be a mistake! She’s supposed to win Best Actress!”
“How could the host mess up this badly? What a disaster!”
“Wait! The Best Screenplay Award? Look at the screen—it says the winning screenplay is Peaks of Eternity!”
“Are they saying Khloe is the novelist behind it? No way!”
The venue buzzed with murmurs of shock and disbelief.
Unfazed by the uproar, Khloe stood with poise, lifting the hem of her gown as she strode gracefully to the stage.
The host leaned into the microphone once more. “And now, let’s welcome the presenter for this award—Sloane Evans!” Khloe’s eyes flickered with surprise. Sloane was presenting?
Sloane stepped out from the edge of the stage, the Best Screenplay Award trophy glinting in her hand. Her lips twisted into a frosty smirk as she walked past Khloe, her words sharp and deliberate. “Khloe, what gives you the right to accept this award? You’re nothing but a plagiarist who stole the original author’s work!”
A single statement sent shockwaves through the audience.
The live chat erupted into chaos. Viewers bombarded the feed with questions, utterly clueless about what had just unfolded.
“Wait, what is Sloane implying here?”
“Are they saying Khloe is the actual screenwriter of Peaks of Eternity? And that she’s also the thief who stole Snowpear’s work? This has to be a joke, right?”
“Snowpear’s novels are masterpieces, every single one of them. The adaptations are brilliant too, capturing her talent and honoring her fans. How could Khloe even think of masquerading as such an iconic author?”
Fans of Snowpear, both her books and their movie versions, had been eagerly waiting for the awards broadcast, confident that Snowpear’s work would dominate the night once again.
