Chapter 2384:

They believed the news was true based on various pieces of information, data, and evidence.
A barrage of posts and comments kept pouring in.
Finally, as expected, though it still felt sudden, Rupert’s company plummeted to rock bottom.
All the employees at Annabel’s office were elated at their success, and they awaited her next instruction.
She acknowledged them, already knowing what to do next.
“Yes, you all did well, but I want you to be faster with implementation this time around. We must move fast! I wanted Rupert’s company to face a crisis, and I got that, but this crisis must only be resolved by us. All the more reason we need to act quickly so others don’t get ahead of us.”

Annabel’s intention was clearly communicated. She needed to acquire the majority of the stocks to gain control.
However, Rupert’s company was likely to crumble completely if a rival succeeded in acquiring the shares.
“We need to move fast in the acquisition, even if it means making it public. It will ward off other companies that have their eyes on it and, consequently, make our operation easier as well.”
Once they understood, she dismissed them to get to work. After that, she sent an official letter to Rupert’s company stating her intention.
Flora had never truly considered Annabel’s intentions. Instead, she abruptly rejected or ignored the proposal.
A board meeting among the board members was likely to be held due to the recent issues that had arisen.
The stock prices depreciated each day. They could not just watch and do nothing about it.
Flora was exhausted from receiving calls from several directors who bombarded her with questions and demanded explanations.
She had hoped those directors would invest more money into the company. Who knew? A miracle might happen and the company could get back on its feet.
However, her idea to arrange a board meeting to discuss this plan was rejected by the other directors.
Now, everyone had lost confidence. If someone were to offer a high price for their stocks, they would immediately be willing to transfer their shares. They had no hope left and were ready to sell off their holdings to any available buyer willing to pay enough.
Of course, some considered selling to Annabel, since she had already made her stance known, but they were worried it would bring significant losses to the company. This left them in a state of indecision. They pushed Flora night and day, secretly hoping for a turnaround.
“Don’t push me so hard! Take it easy on me, please! What do I do? It’s not like I’m doing nothing, it’s just that Annabel is pushing too hard.”
Flora angrily dropped the glass cup in her hand, and it shattered into countless pieces. Tyson, who stood close to her, furrowed his brow when he saw that. Now they had only one option left to try.
