Chapter 1792:
🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙
Hamilton overheard and glowed with pride. Why hadn’t he had a daughter like Daniela? She was warm, thoughtful, and easy to be around — everything his sons were not.
Nikolas caught the look on Hamilton’s face — the unmistakable expression of a man quietly writing his sons out of his heart — and rolled his eyes. “Weren’t you the one who didn’t even like Daniela, not so long ago?”
Hamilton shrugged. “I was blind then. I know better now. Sons cannot hold a candle to a daughter.”
After the baptism celebration, the McCoy family returned to Oiscoll, where work and responsibilities were waiting. Hamilton stayed behind, entirely absorbed in caring for the babies and showing no sign of fatigue whatsoever.
The five nannies had essentially nothing to do.
Even Cedric, watching him, eventually said, “You might as well give them a break. You’ve already done everything they were hired for.”

Hamilton didn’t turn around. “You don’t understand. These boys deserve the very best. One day, they’ll shine wherever they go.”
It was as though every ounce of affection Hamilton had never given Cedric was now being poured directly into the twins. He stayed up with them through the night, changed diapers, rocked them to sleep — and never once complained.
Daniela was so struck by his energy that she quietly arranged for a doctor to examine him. The results came back without a single concern. Years of mountain hiking and disciplined exercise had left Hamilton in better physical condition than most men half his age.
Hamilton was delighted by the news. If anything, he seemed to regard Cedric and Daniela as a mild interference in his time with the boys. Taking the hint, the couple slipped away for a long-overdue holiday.
Beneath a wide, brilliant sky, Daniela leaned back into Cedric’s arms, a contented smile resting on her face.
“When the boys are older,” she said, “let’s retire early and travel the world together. Just the two of us.”
Cedric brushed her hair from her face and gently tied it back. “Whatever you want.”
Her smile deepened. He looked down at her — entirely caught by the simple, unguarded happiness in her expression — and asked quietly, “Is this the life you always dreamed of?”
Daniela tightened her arms around him. “It’s better than I imagined.”
That night, the stars were out in full.
After dinner, they settled together on the couch, unhurried and at ease. Daniela picked up her phone and started a video call home. Hamilton answered immediately, beaming, and gently coaxed the boys toward the camera.
One of them, all round cheeks and bright eyes, grinned and called out clearly — “Mom!”
It was a single word. It stopped all three adults cold.
Then the other boy leaned in. “Dad!”
Silence again, as the weight of those two small words settled over the call.
Hamilton recovered first, leaning eagerly toward the boys. “Now say ‘Grandpa.'”
The twins dissolved into laughter and chirped back in unison, “Grandpa!”
Hamilton’s face crinkled with pure joy. He pulled them close and covered them in kisses, completely undone. “My sweet little angels.” Still beaming, he saved the clip and sent it straight to the family group chat.
The responses came immediately and without restraint. Everyone chimed in at once, prompting, “Say ‘Uncle’!”
The boys waved their tiny hands obligingly and shouted, “Uncle!”
The chat flooded with celebration.
The very next morning, Hamilton walked into the bank and opened individual accounts for each of the boys, depositing a substantial sum into both without hesitation.
