Chapter 513:
🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙
“If things get out of hand, he could die!”
“So what?”
Mila was so engrossed in her quest for retribution against Shawn that she failed to notice Katherine seated beneath the pavilion.
“There’s a doctor in my family. I won’t let him die, but I want him to make a fool of himself in public. Let’s see if he dares to oppose me again!”
“Alright then.”
The servant’s voice faded into silence as she locked eyes with Katherine.
“Miss!”
Katherine extinguished her cigarette and approached with a smile, gracefully maneuvering through the columns to confront Mila.

Mila was acutely aware of Katherine’s close ties to the Watson family, and being overheard by her was indeed an unfortunate stroke of fate.
“Katherine, I’m warning you—don’t meddle!”
Katherine scoffed, seizing the drink from the servant’s tray and splattering it onto Mila’s face without uttering a single word. The peanut butter had not completely dissolved, resulting in a brown globule on Mila’s chest that resembled something rather distasteful.
“How dare you!” Mila could not endure being harassed in her own home. She raised her hand, only to have it intercepted by Katherine.
Katherine possessed strength that surpassed most women. In school, she frequently bested her troublesome male classmates, often reducing them to tears. She even operated seven boxing gyms across the nation, making Mila no match for her prowess.
“Ah!” the servant exclaimed in astonishment, observing Katherine effortlessly subduing Mila with a single hand. Mila knelt on the ground, her hair firmly grasped by Katherine, compelling her face to tilt upward.
“What are you standing there for? Go get someone!”
The servant shook herself from her stupor, poised to flee, but Katherine intervened.
“Shawn has previously faced a near-fatality due to peanuts. You want to present him with peanut butter? Is this your endeavor at homicide? Proceed; I am eager to see whether Fred will align himself with you or with rationality.”
The servant hesitated to move, acutely aware that Mila was at fault. If this information reached Fred, Mila would find herself in even deeper trouble.
Katherine leaned in and warned Mila, “If you dare to confront the Watson family again, I will ensure you face the consequences.” Katherine tightened her grip, and Mila refrained from uttering a single sound.
“Did you hear me?”
Mila’s expression was defiant, yet the pain compelled her to acquiesce. “Yes, yes, I heard you.”
Only then did Katherine release her.
Back in the front hall, someone presented Shawn with a beverage. Engrossed in his conversation with Katherine’s mother, he accepted it without a second thought and drank it.
Shawn took a gulp and instantly sensed that something was amiss.
Agate observed the alteration in his expression.
“What’s wrong?”
