Chapter 733:
🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙
If she had been her true self, she could have handled it in seconds.
But as Alice, she couldn’t reveal her full capabilities. That meant Verruckt would have to endure a little longer. Her voice softened as she said, “This might hurt a bit. Hang in there, Mr. Shaw.”
She leaned in closer, focusing on the wound. As she moved nearer, an uneasy stillness settled over the room. From Verruckt’s view, he could clearly see the intense look in Allison’s eyes. He could count every long lash and feel the warmth of her breath brushing against his skin. It was so light, almost like a feather, a sensation that he hadn’t experienced in years.
His heart started to race for no apparent reason, drawn to that gentle breath. Her delicate fingers hovered over the wound.
“I’m starting now,” Allison said, her voice steady, as she carefully searched for the hook inside.
But the hook was made of metal, and soaked in blood, it was incredibly slippery. So it wasn’t surprising when she struggled to get a good grip.
Thinking back to the pain in her ribs earlier caused by him, Allison didn’t hold back, causing Verruckt to grunt. His breath grew heavier.
His voice was rough when he spoke, a frown tugging at his face. “Alice, were you trying to finish me off just now?”

“No… no,” Allison stammered, her body trembling. Her face showed pure fear, yet her hand stayed steady, gripping firmly.
What else could she do? She was supposed to be the clueless bimbo after all.
“I’ve got it. This will be done soon.”
Allison waited for the perfect moment and then pulled out the delicate wire hook. There was a loud pop, and blood splattered onto her right hand.
“I’ve got it out! Now what do I do?”
Flustered and unsure, Allison held the medicine in one hand and a bandage in the other, looking completely disorganized as she didn’t know where to put the hook.
“Calm down. Hand them over.”
Verruckt, his face drained of color, quickly grabbed the medicine and bandage from her. If he let her continue treating the wound, he feared that he might not make it.
In a flash, Verruckt expertly wrapped the bandage, doing a far better job than Allison had.
Seeing everything under control, Allison breathed a huge sigh of relief.
“Mr. Shaw, could you try not to get so badly hurt next time? It’s really scary.”
Verruckt, who had almost lost his life, wasn’t expecting to be teased. He let out a small laugh.
