Chapter 795:
🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙
In his eyes, Alice might have seemed timid and fragile, but she had a will of steel.
“The item is hidden in the roses. You’ll know it when you see it. I have to take care of something else.”
Allison nodded, saying firmly, “I’ll do my best.”
Once Verruckt left, her face grew cold, and she entered the room on the top floor. The view of the city below stretched out before her as she picked up a card and activated her earpiece.
“Mr. Lloyd,” she said.
A deep voice crackled through the invisible earpiece. “Allison, I’m here.”
Kellan’s voice had a soothing, magnetic quality, and it was clear that he had been waiting for her. Hearing his voice reassured her, just a little.
“Is there any movement at the lab tonight?” she asked.
“There is, just like you expected. The Immortality Group is in talks with the lab. They’ve brought in an ambulance for infectious patients, and it looks like they’re moving a lot of test subjects today.”
He stared out at the moonlight for a moment, then added, “We managed to get a look at the list, but Lilian’s name isn’t on it.”

That only made things more complicated.
He furrowed his brow before asking, “How’s everything on your side, Allison?”
“Don’t worry, everything’s fine.”
Allison studied the card in her hand for a moment before adding, “Keep an eye on the transfer route of the test subjects. I’ll get in touch if anything comes up.”
“Got it. And Allison, I’ll always be here.” Kellan didn’t ask about Verruckt.
He had already planned that tomorrow, he would give Verruckt a devastating showdown, once and for all. What Allison didn’t know was that Kellan was the type who believed in an eye for an eye.
Under the silvery glow of the moon, Allison studied the card she held tightly in her hand. It stated, “Mrs. Mollie Blake’s room is 1902. The white powder is a potent roofie. Take her away from here.” Clearly, she was being nudged to concoct a plan. After mulling over her options, Allison assessed the predicament. Mollie’s situation was tricky. She wasn’t troublesome by nature, but her security was tight—a fortress of vigilant guards surrounded her.
“Time to dip my toes in the water first,” she murmured to herself.
Allison ventured into the bedroom, where Verruckt had laid out her mission gear: a sleek, all-black athletic ensemble, perfect for the night’s escapades. She slipped into the outfit quickly and stashed the card back into her bouquet. Armed with the roofie, she set off for Room 1902.
As the door creaked open, Allison peeked around. The VIP section’s room was fortified by four men in black. They had guns and batons at their waists, looking like professional bodyguards from the military.
