Chapter 924:
“Don’t move, or I’ll kill you right here!” Kellan’s presence was intimidating. His murderous intent was clear.
Allison quickly checked Kellan’s injury. “How bad is it? Damn, I’ll find a doctor right away.” She couldn’t even bring herself to think about the consequences of the injury.
“It’s fine. The syringe barely went in, and there’s nothing inside,” Kellan said, shaking his head to calm her down.
All he could think about at that moment was that, fortunately, it wasn’t Allison who had been hurt.
“It was a new, sterilized syringe,” he explained. “It must have been left behind after the nurse gave her an injection, and she picked it up.”
Meanwhile, Lilian was screaming loudly. “Let me go! Let me go!” Her wrists, tightly bound, strained against the restraints, turning purple from the pressure. She didn’t stop pulling, but at this rate, she would break her wrists.
Allison observed with a pensive look.
“This isn’t defiance,” she whispered. “The earring must have triggered a stress response in her.”
It was clear that Lilian couldn’t control her reaction. Understanding this, Allison put the earring away.

Without wasting any time, she increased the serum dosage on the table and injected it into Lilian once more.
“Calm down,” she said, her voice steady.
The familiar sensation seemed to wash over Lilian. Gradually, her intense, furious stare started to fade, and slowly, she began to regain her focus.
“What… what did you ask me before?” Lilian stammered. “The earring.” Allison paused, choosing not to show it again. “Do you remember anything about the person who owned it?”
“I do. She was wearing a lab coat, looked like a researcher,” Lilian said, blinking slowly, sweat starting to form on her forehead. “I got it… from the Aröme Tower.”
“The Aröme Tower?” Allison frowned, thinking it over. “It’s a building in Vrining. It was built to attract perfumers.”
Kellan nodded. “Yes, famous perfumers can live or work there, and many have started their careers there.”
This was well-known information.
Allison had never been drawn to places that felt like traps.
But when she heard anything about her mother, a sense of unease crept in.
After all these years, her mother had resurfaced, and it seemed she was a researcher.
“I remember following a well-dressed woman near the Aröme Tower. She had a shiny brooch on her chest,” Lilian’s voice trembled as she spoke. “But I didn’t expect her to be so skilled. She tricked me into an alley, thinking I was from Immortality Pharmaceuticals. She nearly killed me. Then, a group of men in black appeared, demanding she hand over a chip. In the end, she killed them and disappeared into the dark. I only picked up the blood-stained earring on a whim.”
Lilian collapsed, her hands covering her face. “I sold the earring, but not long after, Immortality Pharmaceuticals caught me.”
