Chapter 976:
🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙
“I have only one requirement,” Brinley announced, sitting at the head of the conference table, her presence radiating authority as ever. “Maintain our market position and expand steadily from there. As for any issues beyond your control, you can reach out to me anytime.”
Allard leaned back in his chair, a playful grin lighting his features. “Relax. Be a hands-off boss for once. Go sightseeing with Mr. Moore and actually enjoy yourself. We’ll make sure everything here runs like clockwork.”
With the company in capable hands, Brinley felt an unfamiliar lightness. For the first time in years, she was free.
Meanwhile, Austin, too, was quietly crafting his own plan of power delegation. Life-and-death encounters had sharpened his perspective: he now knew, more deeply than ever, that family mattered above all else. He had long since grown weary of the cutthroat games of the business world, the lies, the backstabbing. He had no desire to make new enemies, or to see his loved ones placed in harm’s way because of him ever again.
So, with resolve, he called a meeting of the Moore family. Every young member who had already begun carving their own paths within the Moore Group was present.
In a measured voice, he announced his decision. Several core projects under his direct control were transferred to his elder brothers and the nephews who had proven themselves capable, while the final decision-making authority would remain with him.
“I’m tired,” he said softly, eyes sweeping over each face. “From today onward, Moore Group belongs to you. My only request is… stay united. Don’t let Father down.”
The room froze. Shock rippled through every corner. No one had expected this. Austin, the youngest sibling among them, once the most ruthless and decisive, the man who had always measured life in power and control above all else, was voluntarily letting go.
Clarice’s voice cracked the silence. “Are you out of your mind? Austin… have you been through something?”

Only Westley, seated at the head of the table, seemed at peace. His eyes, slightly reddened, glimmered with pride as he stared at his youngest son and nodded.
“Good. That’s good…” he murmured, voice rough with emotion. “This is how a family should be, sharing, living in harmony, rejoicing in each other’s happiness.”
From that day, Austin shifted his focus. The office became an occasional stop, a place to handle pressing matters. His days belonged elsewhere now, entirely with Brinley. With the business finally settled and the Moore Group in capable hands, his heart refused to stay still. Restless and eager, he began crafting a detailed itinerary for a spontaneous road trip across the country, just him and Brinley, free from schedules and expectations.
As for their two children, naturally, they were sent off to Moore Estate. When Westley laid eyes on his grandchildren, porcelain-skinned and bright-eyed like cute little dolls, delight lit up his face like an endless sunbeam. He scooped them up, laughter bubbling from his chest before waving the couple off. “Go on, go! Enjoy yourselves! Don’t worry. The children are safe with me. I’ll make sure they’re happy, well-fed, and spoiled rotten!”
