Chapter 397:
Her response might have seemed superficial, but Bryan, who usually maintained a serious demeanor in his professional life, seemed to value this light-hearted comment.
He slightly raised an eyebrow, watching her finish a plate of spaghetti, a subtle smile playing at the corner of his lips.
She quickly inquired, “Then what do you like about me? Tell me, I must have some qualities that others can’t replace.”
In the past, when she had worked for Bryan, she had encountered numerous women from affluent backgrounds, all quite remarkable. Back then, Eileen had felt inadequate.
But now, believing that Bryan cherished her, she was convinced that she possessed unique traits or qualities that no one else could match.
With his arms crossed on the table, Bryan studied Eileen intently for a moment. Then he declared confidently, “You are Gabriela’s mother, and that’s irreplaceable.”
Eileen was at a loss for words.
“We were married first, and then Gabriela came along!”
With frustration, Eileen pointed out to Bryan, “So, are you saying if I hadn’t had Gabriela, we might not be together now?”
Was it possible that Bryan had reconciled with her primarily because of their daughter?
Eileen’s chest heaved, and her eyes were fixed on Bryan. She looked very serious.
“I was just joking.” Suddenly, Bryan pulled the chair, bringing Eileen closer.

He embraced her, his hands gliding from her back to her head.
His fingers swept across her forehead, and he kissed her.
“It’s because you gave birth to Gabriela that she means so much to me.”
Bryan’s expression turned solemn. His eyes deepened as he admired Eileen’s glistening lips, kissing her once more.
“You are what matters most to me. There are so many things about you that draw me in.” His fingers moved from her forehead, resting briefly between her delicate eyebrows.
Her eyelashes fluttered, her eyes drawn to his appealing lips and chiseled chin.
His touch continued, his fingertips tracing her nose before resting on her full lips.
“As long as it’s you, no matter how ordinary, I find myself drawn to you.” His voice grew husky as he sealed her lips, deeply tasting her sweetness.
Her body leaned into him, her hands on his solid thighs, cradled in his embrace.
Moonlight poured through the kitchen window, bathing them in a gentle radiance. Eileen’s slight frame was entirely enveloped by him.
