Chapter 983:

His expression softened as he explained, “Lianne, the first time we bonded, everything happened too quickly. There was no proper ceremony. I’m not going to rush into another ceremony. This time, I want to give you a proper one, something grand enough that everyone will know you’re my rightful Luna.”
The sincerity in his eyes warmed me from the inside out.
Honestly, I had never cared much about ceremonies or titles. As long as I could stay by his side, that was enough for me.
But he was clearly determined to make up for what had been missing the first time, so I stopped arguing. I smiled softly and whispered, “Alright, I’ll wait. Through everything, remember that I am forever yours.”
Ethan pulled me into his arms and pressed a gentle kiss to my forehead. “I know.”
The following day, I finished organizing all the office supplies for the studio. With Noah supervising everything, the process went smoothly. I only needed to review a few documents, approve the samples, and sign off on the final details.
Once that was done, I was preparing to pack up and head over to the studio to check on the construction when my phone rang.
It was Tracy.

When I answered, her cheerful voice rang out. “Lianne! Busy right now?”
I answered with a smile, “I just finished work. What’s up? You sound unusually cheerful.”
She laughed. “I’m dying of boredom! I’m pregnant again, but thankfully the morning sickness hasn’t been nearly as bad this time, so I actually feel pretty good. The problem is Jeremy won’t let me go anywhere. He keeps hovering over me and insisting I stay home. I’m going crazy in here. When are you coming to visit? I need someone to talk to.”
I could tell how frustrated she was, so I agreed without hesitation. “Sure. Let me check Ethan’s schedule, and we’ll arrange a time to come over.”
There was a brief pause before her voice turned slightly worried. “Lianne, do you really think Ethan can handle Melisa? I’m afraid something unexpected might happen.”
I laughed softly. “Don’t worry. I know Ethan better than anyone. He’s careful, principled, and incredibly self-controlled. There’s no way he’ll compromise just because Melisa pressures him. Even if she pushed him to his limit, he wouldn’t cross that line. His heart belongs to me.”
Tracy laughed from the other end. “Wow, listen to you. You’re awfully confident.”
“It’s not confidence. It’s simply the truth.” I smiled before adding, “And Jeremy has changed a lot too. He’s much more mature and steady now. So stop worrying about everything else and focus on yourself and the baby.”
She hummed in agreement, and after chatting for a few more minutes, we finally ended the call. I slipped my phone away and was just about to leave for the studio when a sudden wave of dizziness hit me.
My head grew heavy, my vision blurred, and the entire room seemed to tilt beneath my feet.
I instinctively reached for the wall to steady myself, but instead of easing, the dizziness only became stronger.
I gritted my teeth and tried to stay upright, but the strength quickly drained from my body. With trembling fingers, I grabbed my phone and dialed Ethan.
He answered almost instantly.
