Chapter 107:
🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙
Thalassa needed no explanation. Facing Zeke with narrowed eyes, she said, “You had no right to do that.”
Zeke couldn’t deny it; his face reddened with embarrassment.
“Wait! It was this guy who threw my flowers away? Who the hell do you think you are?” Clark raged.
Thalassa raised her hand, signaling him to stop—she could handle this.
She turned back to Zeke, her eyes demanding answers. Flustered, he blurted the first excuse that came to mind. “I’m sorry. I did it because I thought he was bothering you.”
Thalassa blinked in confusion. “Why would you think that?”
Zeke’s mind raced. “It’s just that Luisa told me the news about your relationship with him was fake, so I assumed the pictures were because he wouldn’t leave you alone.”
Behind them, Luisa glared at her brother, shocked that he was throwing her under the bus after she had clearly told him Thalassa wouldn’t approve of what he was doing.
“You assumed?” Clark huffed. “Who are you, anyway? What makes you think you have any right to assume anything about Thalassa’s life, let alone take action on her behalf?”
“No matter what you assumed, you shouldn’t have done what you did, at least not without informing me first,” Thalassa chastised.
The joy Kris felt hearing there was nothing between Thalassa and Clark was immense, but at the same time, his chest tightened with bitterness. She hadn’t told Zeke off when he informed her that Zeke had sent Clark’s flowers away, yet here she was, reprimanding Zeke because of Clark’s flowers.
“You didn’t say anything to him when he sent my flowers away,” Kris couldn’t help but say.
Clark’s face twisted with fury as he gave Kris an incredulous look. “You brought her flowers? What the fuck, dude? Aren’t you ashamed after everything you and your family have put her through?”

Thalassa rubbed her temples, already feeling a headache coming on. By now, their voices had risen so much that a few models and employees on the floor had stepped out to see what was happening.
“Don’t speak about what you know nothing about!” Kris snarled.
Clark scoffed. “I know enough to know that Thalassa gave you all her love and trust, only for you to trample all over it.”
“Exactly,” Kris added. “So you have no right to send her any flowers.”
“No one asked for your opinion,” both Clark and Kris hissed simultaneously.
The three men stood glaring at each other, breathing heavily, looking ready to throw punches—until Thalassa couldn’t take it anymore.
“Enough!” she yelled, her breath ragged with irritation. “Don’t talk about me like I’m not standing right here. None of you decide for me. I make my own decisions, and right now, I’ve decided that I want none of you here!”
Fuming, she stormed back into her office and slammed the door shut, leaving the three men staring at it in dismay.
The Fashion Awards show was fast approaching, and the fashion industry—and the internet at large—buzzed with anticipation.
This event, organized by top fashion experts every two years, invited several designers to attend, but only five were selected to be part of the exhibition and compete for the ultimate title.
